In about 45 minutes the USS Constellation will pull into port for the last time. After almost 42 years in service and the past 7 months at sea the Constellation, known as America's Flagship and namd after the last surving ship of the Civil War is set for decomission in August to be replaced by the USS Ronald Reagan.
I was planning on posting this later with pics since there isn't much more impressive than watching a carrier pull in with the rails lined with sailors in their dress whites but weather did not cooperate and it's a foggy day in San Diego and you can't see jack out on the water.l Guess we'll have to wait for the Nimitz to come home.

Thanks Trai - what was really hoping for was shots of her with everyone lining the rails. The Nimitz went out as the war was starting so she'll be gone for awhile but hopefully the weather is better when she comes home. I'd like to get the opportunity toget some of those shots before I leave San Diego.
