There is no way in hell I will be voting for BUsh. It's not just that I do not trust him. I don't believe that he hasthe ability or knowledge to bring this country ou of the funk that it is in nor do I believe that he an admit to those weaknesses to take valid advice of those that do.
I don't blame Bush for banking or corporate scndels. I aknowledge that a great deal of our financial woes resulted from 9-11 but a this presidents plan for curing what ails this nation seems to be akin to stomping on it's toe to make it forget the pain in it's mouth. Don't have a job? No problem... let me give you a war to watch.
How is it that someone who never bothered to venture outside our borders before his presidency can be so obsessed with controling all that happens there now.
I think that another year of slumping economy and more of our military dying daily in Irag nd now probably Liberia are going to weigh heavily on his support. Unfortunately unless the Dems pulls an articulate, intelligent, charasmatic candidate out of their hat, we may be stuck with the putz anyway.

At the present time there is no one to vote for, but I'll write in 12's name rather than vote for Bush

GIve it a rest Twelve. I may be a leftist but my despisal of Bush stems from a love of this country. I was not aware that blind devotion to the leader is an anti-american trait. If so, may I assume that you were anti-american during the Clinton administration?

You don't have to assume anything... I would of been classified an "anti-american" while Clinton was in office... especially when he signed NAFTA
Of course I did garner some respect of the man when he got caught in the Lewinski scandal.... guess lying isn't limited to just republicans eh?
Got respect a man that gets the girls to drop to their knees...

Good post neon!!
Twelve, it's almost like you're becoming the voice of the Republicans here. I hope you don't mind being in the hot seat all the time! With that in mind... Clinton said he didn't have sexual relations with Monica, which is true. I don't think of a bj as sexual relations, but a sexual act. A lot agree with me, but some deep rooted conservatives think that even kissing could be called sexual relations, so it comes down to the wording imo.
Again, Clinton signed a huge oil deal with Canada through Nafta. If he didn't, your gas would cost you $3.00 - $4.00 a gallon.

When did Clinton sign NAFTA? I thought it was negotiated, finalized and signed by Bush Sr. Clinton only let it go into effect because that is what the neo-cons wanted.
Only the joke was on the neo-cons by the big corporations.....
But if your answer to everything 12-pole is blame Clinton, then the Democrats have nothing to worry about from your ilk.

mlecher, the Canada-U.S free-trade agreement was signed in 1989, and its successor, the North American free-trade agreement was signed in 1994.

Reagan himself was a dreamer, capable of imagining a world without trade barriers. In announcing his presidential candidacy in Nov. 1979, he had proposed a “North American accord” in which commerce & people would move freely across the borders of Canada & Mexico. This idea, largely overlooked or dismissed as a campaign gimmick in the US, rankled nationalist sensibilities in the neighboring nations. But Reagan was serious in his proposal. Though he traveled only once outside the North American continent during his first 57 years, he was neither insular nor isolationist. California has windows to the world in Asia, and Reagan thought of the US as a Pacific power as well as an Atlantic one. He also had a Californian’s consciousness of Mexico and an actor’s appreciation of Canadians, who are well-represented in the film community. The dream of a North American accord would drive the successful pursuit of a US-Canadian free trade agreement and a future-oriented “framework” trade agreement with Mexico

I cannot imagine a circumstance under which I would vote for Bush. I would vote for a nice hibiscus or even a sago palm first.
