... the world's population will double in the next 10 -12 years. How are we going to be able to maintain our lifestyle and feed ourselves if we're having problems doing it now?
Something HAS to be done to help 3rd world countries prevent unwanted pregnancies because foreign aid and education hasn't helped. Soon, whole nations will die from starvation and disease and those diseases will eventually end up in North America, if more isn't done.
How do you think the world is going to handle all this? 10 to 12 years isn't far off.

There will be a massive die off just like all animal populations peak and crash.
Africa will be pretty much depopulated and recolonized.
Things will be bad in the US and Canada and Europe BUT they will be much much worse elsewhere.

Perhaps some neo-cons might approve of abortions sterilisation and contraceptives ‘AID, for the unemployed, elderly, infirmed, low income, persons of mixed-ethnicity, and the sexually ambiguous.

There will be more strange diseases because there will be more travel and intrusion into the last really isolated areas of the world. We'll be lucky if someone doesn't MAKE a new disease now that that is technically possible.

There are many other symptoms of overcrowding beyond starvation. Aggressive behavior, paranoia, and ultra nationalism come to mind.

That's right gravid. Virus's, bacteria, etc. can live 'dormant' for decades, especially in unpopulated areas, and can mutate to fit the host. Variations of hanta, ebola and other hemorrhagic diseases have already gained a foothold in Africa. Aids, mad cow, SARS, Legionares... where did they come from?
I would think with all the aid gone to help these countries, there should be some kind of progress, but I don't see much. Without more help, these countries will die off but the diseases will remain and spread.
Twelve, that's what will happen (if a country can't feed themselves... let them die) if countries that can provide help, provide the wrong kind. Is there nothing else we can do?
