How convenient, they don't leave any pesky
paper trails...

The suit will be heard in the 9th court, SF, what do you bet she wins..

I don't know what's next, but a computer that doesn't leave a paper record of votes sounds like a perfect target for fraud to me, and there is no reason for it technologically. I hope she wins.

Darn I hope they don't get those in Florida. Imagine how many languages they will have to do it in besides a large print screen.....

Heinlein predicted such fraud in his novel "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress"
In that book a small band of rebels succeed in forming a revolt because they have the backing of the giant central computer that runs all the utilities and so forth in the Lunar colony.
The computer had become self aware and they enlisted it in their conspiracy. After the rebellion they also retained power by having the election processed by the same computer. Everyone goes to their bank to vote and all the banking is done through the same central computer.
For all his vision he did not see computers becoming so common they were everywhere. He was stuck mentally in the mainframe mode. But fraud thrpough manipulating the computer was obvious to him.

I was reading an article where three Republican Candidates won by 181,111 votes EACH! The same number for each and nobody thought that was unusual. Also, it has been determined that all the machines were sent out with a "faulty" chip in them that always gave the Republican the advantage. When the chip was replaced the results were COMPLETELY different...

Yes, ladies and Gentlemen, democracy is dead....

And for those of you who need links....

Wired

Bismarck Tribune

New Zealand

There are many, many more links. Seems the whole rest of the world's news organization has known about this for MONTHS! But it seems the "American" media has only "just discovered" it? Reminds me of Pravda before it failed.
