Ok - On the news they show thousands of Palestinians in the streets demonstrating they are pleased with the bombing that kills children. Why not take them at their word that they are accesories and support the murder?
Seems like a couple of cluster bombs right on top of that crowd would make supporting Hamas a whole lot less attractive. Seems to me they are asking for it by praising murder. Why screw around with a few here and there when you have all these self proclaimed blood hungery creeps standing out in the street asking for it? They love violence - well - show them how to do it. Give a full measure and see if it still looks so good when they are ankle deep in their own blood instead of old women and children.

I have to admit it seems like they are following a policy of prolonging the agony. Either fight and win or make peace. Do they have to fight like the US as part of being an ally? Ineffectively that is? War is not police work.
The only way to win a guerrilla war is to remove the entire population base that supports them. The Romans knew this and rounded everyone up and shipped them off a conquered territory.

gravid, I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. But isn't this exactly what we did in Afghanistan? And weren't you against that? Just asking to be clearer on your position.

I have long said the US should not be supporting a position of holding Israel back. Let them do what they think is necessary to stop these continued murders. If it were me, I would do exactly as you've stated in your post. And I wouldn't be joking.

No the US and indeed no modern nation has ever really depopulated an area they conquered.
The modern states are too sensitive to world opinion to be so harsh. Yet what is the point of having endless conflict that is never resolved and leaves nobody secure and at peace? I personally abhor violence. I could find a way to coexist with someone even if I didn't agree with how they think if they could extend the same courtesy to me. But I don't see either side in that conflict being willing to coexist with the other. So if you have to use violence why not at least use it well instead of living in a state of conflict indefinately? Resolve it - have done with it.
