Now that he is the Governor-elect, what do you think is his chances of becoming President of the United States, as predicted in the movie Judge Dredd?
They are currently trying to change the US Constitution so that foreign born citizens (after 20 years of citizenship) to become the President.
There are some who think Thomas Jefferson was actually born on a ship between Europe and the Americas, not in country.
If he does well, I think he will win the rest of country's hearts and minds.
Also, I think that if the US Constitution isn't changed in time for him, then he will have had a significant role in it's change, that is if he does an impression job.

I don't know clarksville, sometimes I think those without experience can do just as well as those who have held political positions for most of their lives. Maybe better. Like Reagan, first winning in CA, and then the presidency. So no matter one's political side, it has happened in the past.
-------
Since it would take a 2/3 vote to change the constitution I think it's highly unlikely that would/will happen anytime soon. Not the way this country is currently divided right down the middle by political parties.
But I've also read about some wanting to change the constitution to allow a president more than two terms. {They have clinton in mind.} Wouldn't expect that to happen within the near future either.
But.....never say never, because just as soon as one does...you have to 'eat' your words.

I would be against changing the constitution for something like that, not born here, can't be President... way it should be.

Elect immigrants as president? That I cannot agree with (oh, no another thing I agree with twelve on). I don't know if their loyalty to this country could ever be fully trusted since, in most cases, their first love is their home country where most of their relations reside. I know immigrants that love this country, but are first and foremost loyal to their homeland. Or in Arnold's case, "the motherland". I'm sure the founding fathers had good reason to include that in the Constitution.

I'm making a prediction on the Arnold mini-term. Nothing will change and after 100 days a wealthy Democratic will fund a Recall Arnold campaign ( just like Dan Issa did ) and the necessary signatures will quickly be gathered before the madatory six month has arrived. The usual nuts will come out to run but an Arnold-like surprise actor candidate will appear ( Eastwood or similar ) and it will be a contest between two actors and the politicans will be left off the dance card. Arnold will lose easily because no one can change anything in six months )
Could happen.

Actually Arnold at one time was torn between running for Governor of California or President. President of Austria. He held dual citizenship and was looking at which job he had the best chance of winning. His unwavering support of the Nazi Kurt Waldheim pretty much killed his chances in Austria.
How comfortable would you be knowing he did not care were he ran, just so he got the glory.

Considering that is opinion and not fact
What does that have anything to do with Arnold running for President of the US?
