As much as I like a good laugh, I am frankly glad this is being banned or boycotted most everywhere.... after reading about this "game" I can see no humor what so ever in it.

yeah, well they started the controversy over a month ago in a shop here in downtown Seattle, the local leader of the NAACP vowed to protest in front of the store until the game was removed. The removed it.
Now the makers of Monopoly are sueing them.
BUT! bet these games bring big $$ on eBay!

I had to look it up...
Instead of a top hat, cane, and mustache, the Ghettopoly guy is a thuggish, bandanna wearing black man with bug eyes peering over dark glasses. He clenches a marijuana cigarette, holding an Uzi in one hand and a bottle of malt liquor in the other.
The game is played like monopoly, but the object is to put crack houses or project buildings in some of the worst neighborhoods in America while trying to avoid being carjacked, shot, or drug addicted. There are ghetto stash and hustle cards, and the seven game pieces include a pimp, a prostitute, a machine gun, malt liquor bottle, basketball, marijuana leaf, and a rock of crack cocaine.
"Black or white, can you see yourself playing a game that just highlights all this wrong? That focuses in on all of the negative images and stereotypes of African people in America? I don't think that anybody with any sense of humanity ought to play or purchase this game or even consider this game," said Dr. Conrad Worrill, Center for Inner City Studies.
Auction description
Buying stolen properties, p@#pin h@es, building crack houses and projects, paying protection fees and getting car jacked are some of the elements of the game.
