So we do crafts as part of our story times for the kids. Last Monday Rachelle had a snowman craft for the toddlers. Just a simple little craft meant to hang from a window or some such: circles of white construction paper, black construction paper hat, sequins for eyes, etc. All the usual snowman accoutrements. Plus white & blue beads on string & attache, for some reason to the bottom of the snowman. Rachelle hung the sample she made on the door of the Children\'s office and I\'ve been walking back & forth past it all week without really looking at it.

On Friday I did, and we have an x-rated snowman here. Rachelle hung three strings of beads at the bottom of the snowman--two strings of blue beads & one string of white in the middle. The strings sticking out from the bottom of the blue beaded strands happen to look just like feet. Unfortunately, the white string in the middle looks just like a schlong.

And, no, it wasn\'t just me. A little later the secretary came by & did a double-take before bursting out laughing.

Wonder if we\'ll get any feedback from parents of kids in that story time...

And here is the picture of the Snowman in question:

Now you know why Frosty was a jolly, happy soul....

What a dork! You have to give this little artist credit for creativity. Representation of foreshortened angles is the next lesson!

foreshortened...To shorten the lines of (an object) in a drawing or other representation so as to produce an illusion of projection or extension in space.

Oh good...I thought maybe it's been such a long time for you and you'd forgotten which direction it's supposed to be in.

You have to give this little artist credit for creativity for all we know they could have thought snowmen have tails, since they usually don't have legs either.

Wow...even about a topic as innocuous as snowman art, you carry the conversation to an impolite and offensive level.

Where is your sense of humor?

If you notice, linda, I didn't attack your "house" because I obviously have more decency than you. Only you would resort to personal insults when the topic is a Snowman.

LOL! Love it!

I still think you two are related.... The only people I have ever seen able to find something to bicker about on every single topic are my step sisters... I once watched them nearly brawl over a socks with or without stripes tiff.

When my nephew was 4, his teacher told the class to draw pictures of themselves. He asked what it was supposed to look like. SHe said "exactly like you." So he drew himself naked and as detailed as a 4-year-old can manage.

Actually, Bear...I do learn from you and Linda -- about such things as the effects of brainwashing on easily influenced individuals ... among other things.

Even the fact that you consider my previous comment a compliment is instructive.
