What about the invoice from President Reagan for the nerve gas?...wonder if he ever paid us for that stuff?

They showed video of Hussein being inspected by a doctor. And then they took a DNA sample from him. Which had to be humiliating. One day your president of the country the next day you're being forced to give a DNA sample. And Clinton said, "Tell me about it.

In fact when he was captured he was surrounded by the only nine remaining people who didn't want him caught -- the Democratic presidential candidates.

Jay Leno....

Best thing Leno said was:

Why did we help him out of the hole, why didn't we just fill it in?!!

The Saddam trial transcript...

Q: Didn't you use chemical and biological weapons?

Saddam: We were at war with Iran. If there's anything that scares me it's radical Islam taking over the Middle East. I assumed since Rumsfeld and Reagan supplied me with those, I was in the clear. Here's all of our correspondence, and a receipt for the anthrax. Sorry it's a little crumpled up, but yeah, see, there's the signature, and here's a slideshow of me hugging Rumsfeld.

Q: How about those Kurdish atrocities?
Saddam: Well, again, the US supplied me with the weapons, so fair game. What we had was a terrorist separatist movement, like the Chechens, and so we did what we had to do to protect the homeland, like the Russians. Our little part in the war on terror.

Q: But that's not the same.
Saddam: No it is, believe me. China v. Uighurs, ETA, Tamils, Aceh, JI, we're all fighting the same war against the same terrorists.

Q: Well, what about the Shiite assassinations.
Saddam: Again, we had a terrorist threat from a dangerous Shiite theocracy in Iran trying to infiltrate our society and foment a radical Islamic revolution. We had to protect ourselves. We could get into a long, fascinating debate on the legitimacy of extralegal killings, but we're only going to find out that the US and Israel have them in their playbook (although there's a great Rand study that shows they never achieve the desired outcome).

etc...

Helen, from the same 'blog' you got that from

Why he didn't martyr himself... yet

Well, maybe he was doped, like his sister says.

Did you hear, before he was found, that a dr was captured and brought blindfolded to Saddam. The dr was given orders to 'wake him up, so he can talk to us' the dr gave him the equivalent of huge dose of adrenalin. THAT woke him up.

Which makes me wonder if he is manic deppressive? Well thats my theory. A dose of adrenaline would wake up any deppressive person

And those DOD films showing over and over the dr examining his head and mouth. I WISH they would put WHY... they were not checking him for lice or fleas, as been suggested so many times. When the soldiers were helping him out of that spiderhole, he hit his head.
He was complaining... so they were checking his head and jaw for injuries.

What they didn't show in the exam was when his other end was examined & Dean was found.

yeah, I believe he is manic depressive, bi polar, whatever you want to call him. There are lots of 'famous' and the not so famous DICTATORS that were found to bi polar.
Sure thats a theory

As for the drs exam on the DOD films, thats NOT theory. He hit his head, and was in pain
