In recent years I have begun to sing karaoke. As I grew up in the fifties and sixties I prefer the oldies from such groups as the Drifters or Jay and the Americans. Do you sing karaoke, or in the shower? If so, what do you sing?

Yes, I do! It all started many years ago. The love of my life and I were attending her class reunion. She requested Unchained Melody. Not one person in the band could sing it or play it. So my wife would not be disappointed, I sung it for her on my Knees.
Love to sing & do so every chance I get. I also play a mean set of drums. I like old love songs, they fit my Baritone voice.

I only sing when I'm alone now. When I send people an e-birthday card I always tell then *my present*, to them, is that they won't have to listen to me singing the Happy Birthday song to them.
Used to think I had a pretty good voice, but it's not anymore. Recently my favorite song I sing over and over is Alan Jackson's 'Remember When'. But I too love a lot of all the oldies from the 50's and 60'...a lot of the singers that recorded on the Motown label will always have my heart.
Karaoke - Always a fun way to enjoy listening to everyone singing their favorite songs.

When I was young.
My friends loved to hear me sing along with commercials.
But hated it when I would sing along with a song.
Never figured it out.

My grandpa told me years ago that one way to tell that you're truly happy is when you catch yourself singing.
I sing a lot these days. I guess that means I'm happy.

I never heard Eartha Kitt sing that one, kraft. All I know is that hours later the visual of you singing that song to twelvepole still has me rofl.

I can sing every song on the Outlaws album by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jesse Coulter and Tompall Glaser. I know all these songs by heart and I have been singing them since I was a youngster.
Maybe this one should be dedicated to Twelvepole, eh.
Put another log on the fire,
Cook me up some bacon and some beans,
Go out to the car and change the tire,
Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.
Baby, fill my pipe and then go fetch my slippers,
Boil me up another pot of tea.
Put another log on the fire, girl,
Come and tell me why you’re leaving me.
Don’t I let you wash the car on Sunday ?
Don’t I warn you when you’re getting fat ?
Hey, Fatso!
Ain’t I gonna take you fishing with me some day ?
Well, a man can’t love a woman more than that.
Ain’t I always nice to your kid sister,
Don’t I take her driving every night ?
So sit here at my feet because I like you when you’re sweet
And you know that it ain’t feminine to fight.
Put another log on the fire,
Cook me up some bacon and some beans,
Go out to the car and change the tire,
Wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.
Fill my pipe and then go fetch my slippers,
Boil me up another pot of tea.
Put another log on the fire, woman,
Come and tell me why you’re leaving me.
Yeah, come and tell me why you’re leaving me.

That's a hoot, Yellowstone!
Twelve has been depressed since the Roy Horn thing, so hopefully, some fun-lovin songs will get him back to posting again. Let's all cross our fingers.

I sing, but I would never, ever do it in the company of the people I care about. Although it's a good way to clear a room. I am unfortunately tone deaf!

Just so you know, stusi, Helen was the one that told the army where he was hiding. (She broke up with him after she found out he was dating Linda on the side.) While he was in the hole, hiding out, he called her to beg for forgiveness. She said no, then called the cops and gave them his new cell number.
