It has obviously been so long since these old men in skirts have ever had to deal with reality that they are have no idea what their bizzare flights of fancy do to the common man.

They will never be stopped in their limo with a driver. Even if traffic is being stopped they will get the wave through since they are special.

When you are late to work because the local police stopped a big line of traffic to 'seek information' or hand out flyers or some such foolishness your boss is still going to have a fit. You are still going to be docked on your pay. I used to know a fireman who if he was late three times no longer had a job. Not in a year - if he worked there 20 years the third time he was late he was fired. How do you think he is going to regard being stopped?
If you are not a big wheel like the twits that write this stuff 'seeking information' is what we call interrogation. If they stop you I anticipate intrusive questions about where you are going and where you are coming from and do you come through here everyday at this time? It's none of their damn business. But if you don't basically suck up you are going to have troiuble. You know very well they are going to be peering in the car and trying to spot something to give them a handle on you to search the trunk or your person. These kind of police state intrusions are just an invitation for shake downs. All the cop has to say is he thought you looked nervous or he didn't like your attitude to turn it into a real hassle. All the while it is supposedly not an arrest. To me anytime you are not free to keep on moving it is an arrest. If I am stopped at random and hassled by my local cops frankly I am going to do everything I can to make their life miserable as well as whichever governmental authority they are under. All I want is to be left alone. Believe me if I have to be unhappy and uncertain what is going to happen every day then they will be too. I went through having cops stop me and frame me with a ticket they had started writing for somebody else and then had to pin on somebody. Once you have experienced a couple corrupt cops like that this kind of stuff really grates.

Anyone who's not up to no-good should welcome this new safeguard to our safety.

Yes Prof I know I am saying too much and they may round me up later when things get even worse. If I were 20 years younger I'd worry about it.

That's kind of how I feel about it...they can come out here to the ranch and get me

I'll say this - I came home from the oral surgeon today. And they can take me in and show me all the glistening instruments of terror and threaten me and I'd figure at least with them I'll feel free to scream. And you're paying a thousand bucks for it at the same time with the doc. I know nobody can possibly hurt you any worse.

Took my own pills and his shots and it still didn't make a bit of difference. Shoulda knocked me out. He had to cut way into the upper jaw bone and he apoligized that it was a lot worse than the x-ray made him think once he got in there. Took about an extra hour and when we were done he looked as whipped as I did. He's a neat stitcher though - woulda made a heck of a tailor.

Gravid - you should have done what I do - insist on being knocked out! I'm an admittedly hard case though - I have to be put out to for a cleaning. What I lack in number of fears I make up for in intensity.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Find a dentist who uses nitrous oxide or "twilight sleep" so you can stay awake while feeling no pain! If you're in luck, he will give you a canister to take home. LOL!

Wife and I have both had that stuff.
We'll take a big tank.
Like a ballon ride .......................
You could just pipe it in like music....
All these old folks with tubes in their nose for oxy. I wonder if a few are faking it. Switch tanks - Hmmmm - wonder if the threads are the same?
