Come now. He would likely just fight a series of small wars against small nations that only result in a few hundred Americans dead and a few thousand crippled that are quite acceptable to the American public. Chances of anyone starting a war that would actually reach the North American Continent are pretty darn slim.

Why wait for Dean to be elected for a fall-out shelter? Cheney had one built in the vice presidents house as soon as Bush and he were selected...they must know something you don't.Better get to building if you want to be safe!! LOLOLOL

I have to say, Dean's lung-buster recitation of the states last night reminded me of Ted Kennedy's throaty exhortation of Carter as "A Rayyygunnn Clohhhne" in 1980.

If I were you, ebayauctionguy, I'd have built one last March. I'd also have been saving whatever money I could. After Bush's campaign speech last night (I'd hardly call it a State of the Union Address - at least not a realistic one), it would appear he plans on spending most of it. Increase the budget for this, add a buget for that, double the budget for the other thing. All while decreasing taxes. Seems to me a fallout shelter should be the least of your worries. Wish my budget worked like that. Know what will happen to you if you spend money you don't have? It's called bankruptcy. Know what they call a president who spends money he doesn't have? Well, I'll leave that up to your imagination.
While I don't particularly care for Dean, just about anyone is better than what we have now.

At least Dean showed some "authenticity" of personality. These people are human too, as much as they are supposed to be icons of some sort. I thought it refreshing in this politically correct world for him to try to pump up his camp after 'this loss'. And of course, all da playzers in DC pooh-poohed it.
I felt bad for Gephardt. (What did he miss?) He really has the most govt experiece of them of all. I saw him on lettermen and I thought he was pretty cool, too.
Wtf do Iowians know anyway?? Out there in middle of no-where-ville?
I think Clark is in the right spot with all the global tribulation. (And he is good looking like Americans want their president to be.) Die-hards will deny that, but IMO, its not far from the truth.
I am mad the media will keep giving this play by play like its a horse-race. They are definatley having an undue influence doing that if dems are going to trying to pocket their votes for the best likely. I wish they would stop it, and go cover Michael Jackson or something.
