I hate pictures that look at you. Don't know why, but it creeps me out. There must be a name for this phobia--I can't be the only one that has it.

I just repositioned a box of girl scout cookies because it was looking at me. I tried turning it over, but there were a bunch more girl scouts on the back staring at me, so I moved the whole box (probably better for my waist-line, anyway).

Books, magazines, etc. that have a picture on them that stares right out at you I turn face down. Been this way since I was a kid. Don't know why.

LoL Bunni! I used to take advantage of that when I was young. I'd pin pictures of cute rock stars on my walls and pretend they were talking to me and asking me out on dates and things.

bunni - That's a different one. But I thought phobia meant 'a fear of'....as opposed to being 'bothered' by it.

Anyway....if it's a phobia it just has to be on this list. The site owner even sells a poster with all the different phobia's she's come across in her search.

Well, I looked and the closest I could come to it is: Ophthalmophobia (fear of being stared at). But it isn't that--with my tattoos, when I wear shorts I am stared at all the time & it doesn't bother me a bit.

And you're right--it's not really a fear. It just creeps me out to have a picture staring at me.

edited to put an "st" where it belonged.

Just so long as they don't start speaking to you.

"Honest, officer, it was the voices from the Girl Scout cookies that made me do it!"

I saw a few that fit Twelve, but the all round best to describe him would be sophophobic, then venustraphobia.

Hope there are no mirrors in your house!

Mirrors don't bother me--after all,it is me looking back at me. Although if my reflection started doing things on its own...

Just so long as they don't start speaking to you.

Oh, now, that would be just too much!
