Database compilers now want copyright protection for the fact dadabases.

All communucation s from our office will delete any .........or ................ contained in our database until such time as you pay ....... and .........fee ...........to access these data. Even a single ........datum will invoke our ...........action if you persist.

This is a lot closer to home than many of you may realize.

Ebay now charges for access to past history on their sales data.

They recently asked the company GoHook to quit hosting completed auctions for this exact reason. They claim completed auction information is their PROPERTY.

So you see, all the hard work you put into listing your auctions and doing research is now eBay's copyrighted intellectual property.

This new copyright concept will also apply to data such as eBay sell-through etc.
