With a 15 billiion dollar bond passed on Tuesday and 65% approval rating, seems like the naysayers on his winning the governorship have a little crow to eat...

Twelve - he has not done anything yet but overturn two laws and get voters to approve a loan package to get us out of debt. Everyone knows that the worst way to deal with debt is by incurring more of it but hey - if you think that is doing a good job you qre just as easily placated and many of the voters here.
There is no crow to be eaten until something is actually accomplished.

I look on it as a debt consolidation-type thing.
The real problem is that no one is willing to tighten their belts or admit that we simply can't keep funding every single program that is dreamed up--no matter how "good" or "needed" they appear to be. There are limits.
Take Prop 55 -- I can't tell you how many similar propositions have been voted in over the past 20 year. And our schools are no better. Throwing money at the problem isn't the answer. I voted against that one. And the one that lowered the threshold for passing new taxes.

Yes, until they cut spending on many unnecessary programs, nothing will improve. It's the same situation with the national debt.
It's how you define UNNECESSARY that the debate starts up.

Arnie has come a long way but the day will come when the piper wants his due.
Time will tell if he has the backbone to lay the facts down to the voters...there is no more money!
