My web store is almost set to go. I have until the 15th to tweak it up, add the rest of my products and re-take some photos. All I need is some advice here. Does the design look okay? Does it load okay? BEFORE SOMEONE BLASTS ME - No, I'm not using this board to promote my store. I've done that already and the response so far has been good. I trust the opinions here (for the most part, anyway). Before I declare it finished, I want all the advice I can get. eBay has me plain wore out. Between the fees the NPBs, etc., I'm better off using it for collectibles and antiques only. By and large, this is the cheaper of the two ways to sell - once I got the initial outlay of cash out of the way, that is.

Thanks, twelve. I am getting rid of it. Just haven't gotten around to it yet. The templates are just some of the examples from ecommercetemplates.com.

Good job! I like it. For those flash intro's, I dunno, some are cool, so it doesn't bother me, and you can always use the 'skip intro' button.
I like it, looks great! Good luck!

I agree about dropping the flash intro as it’s annoying and serves no purpose.
To me, the top logo with the male/female looks more like a knowledge website for relationships than a jewelry and collectibles/antiques site. That was my first response, others may view it different.
The colors look good though and you have enough of them to add variety throughout your site as you add your product line. I find the site easy to navigate so far and I like the design.
Perhaps more of your “About us” info should be on your Home page as that’s the first place your customers stop at and they usually have only a few seconds attention span. Right away they want to know what your site is about and what you are selling.
After you open I would suggest dropping any mention of eBay on your Home page as it is defeating your whole purpose of having a website which is to have sales off eBay and be independent of eBay. Once a customer wanders off to your auctions and explores other auctions you have most likely lost them from any further viewing of your site. Your Trading Assistant logo on another page and then the mention of your auctions so potential customers can see your style is probably all you need.
Just a couple of things I quickly saw....
Discussion Boards Vendio There's not charge. "Not" should be “no”.
And under "UPDATE"
I contemplating monthly discounts Should be "I am"
You've put lots of work into this and you're off to a good start so I wish you the best of luck. Once you're into the search engines like Google, hopefully you'll do well and eBay won't get so much of your profit.
What would my tired old eyes do without you? My fingers are so sore I'm surprised I can type anymore at all!
I will be putting more About Us on the home page just before I open for business. Right now I want statements there to prevent early birds from buying anything. I still have to "test" the buying end. My fingers are crossed.
This took a lot of learning. FrontPage does not recognize php extension (naturally) so I had to learn how to create all over again. You actually have to edit your site live in order to effectively use FrontPage and even then, your navigation buttons do not show up. They are kept in a whole other file called "Includes". It took a while but I think I have the hang of it now. Once the site got totally screwed up and I was able (by some miracle) to repair it myself).

Cheryl, I like the simplicity of your web page. Very easy to navigate and not so much distracting stuff all over the place. Good job!
