EAG - With Kerry and Fonda both being ultra-liberals, wouldn't suprise me. Two of a kind - except at least over the years Hanoi Jane as not flip-flopped like Kerry has on the issues.
-------------
logansdad - Bush, quite a while back, announced that it will be a Bush/Chaney ticket.
On the U VP- It wouldn't make much of a difference to me. I would look to the choice considering that should Kerry die while in office that person would then be running out country.
But Kerry will pick someone who can help deliver votes from areas where he wouldn't be able to.
and on: Rudy Guliani - I watched him being interviewed and he said no, he would not want to be VP as he thinks Chaney is doing a fine job.

Exit polls from yesterdays primaries show overwhelming support for Edwards as the VP. Personally I think he would be a great choice, intelligent, experienced, well spoken, and he can help bring the south.
Of course the VP post doesn't seem that popular these days, three of the other names that have been mentioned have expressed a mild lack of interest.
Reminds me of the line quoted in a West Wing episode. I wish I could remember who said it but when offered the post as vice president he responded "I do not wish to be burried until I am dead."

Speaking of flip flops from Daily Kos.
just a few Bush flip flops...not to mention the lies
Bush is against campaign finance reform; then he's for it.
Bush is against a Homeland Security Department; then he's for it.
Bush is against a 9/11 commission; then he's for it.
Bush is against an Iraq WMD investigation; then he's for it.
Bush is against nation building; then he's for it.
Bush is against deficits; then he's for them.
Bush is for free trade; then he's for tariffs on steel; then he's against them again.
Bush is against the U.S. taking a role in the Israeli Palestinian conflict; then he pushes for a "road map" and a Palestinian State.
Bush is for states right to decide on gay marriage, then he is for changing the constitution.
Bush first says he'll provide money for first responders (fire, police, emergency), then he doesn't.
Bush first says that 'help is on the way' to the military ... then he cuts benefits
Bush-"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. Bush-"I don't know where he is. I have no idea and I really don't care.
Bush claims to be in favor of the environment and then secretly starts drilling on Padre Island.
Bush talks about helping education and increases mandates while cutting funding.
Bush first says the U.S. won't negotiate with North Korea. Now he will
Bush goes to Bob Jones University. Then say's he shouldn't have.
Bush said he would demand a U.N. Security Council vote on whether to sanction military action against Iraq. Later Bush announced he would not call for a vote
Bush said the "mission accomplished" banner was put up by the sailors. Bush later admits it was his advance team.
Bush was for fingerprinting and photographing Mexicans who enter the US. Bush after meeting with Pres. Fox, he's against it.

::Bush was for fingerprinting and photographing Mexicans who enter the US. Bush after meeting with Pres. Fox, he's against it. ::
I don't often find myself sticking up for a republican but in this case - the facts are really being twisted hard and fast.
At issue are not ALL Mexican visitors to the United states. What this new ruling will refer to are border residents that hold laser visa cards. In order to get this card you must be photograghed and finger printed, you go thru a background check and an interview. These are traditionally people who cross almost daily.
On Average, 250,000 people use the San Ysidro border crossing on a daily basis alone. Does anyone truly believe that a daily fingerprint and photo session for every one of the non citizens really neccessary or fiscally responsible or even logistically feasible since 90% of those crossing do it by car? The propsal will put scanners in every crossing that will in effect create an "express lane" where card holders pass thru and scan their card on every entrance. These scanners will eventually be used to to also track departures as part of the reason this whole program was put into place was to track those that overstay their visit.

Linda:
logansdad - Bush, quite a while back, announced that it will be a Bush/Chaney ticket.
Thanks for that information. I wasn't aware he made a decision. Last I heard it was still up in the air. Personally I think Bush would have better luck with the guy that played "Bernie" in the movie "Weekend at Bernie's".
and on: Rudy Guliani - I watched him being interviewed and he said no, he would not want to be VP as he thinks Chaney is doing a fine job.
Even though I am going to vote Democratic, I would rather see Rudy as VP than Chaney. Rudy would do a better job running this country than Chaney would if anything would ever happen to Bush.

logansdad - I like Rudy too. Have great admiration for how he dealth with problems after 9-11.
---------
fenix - On Edwards....many have said the same thing. But others [democrats] have made mention of the fact that he's weak in t south. That kerry would need a strong southerner to help gain those votes.
And no....I didn't write down which dem said that.
