Tonight was the Padres home season opener in their brand new ballpark which is about 6 blocks from me. I made note of the schedule for today because any new experience which involves over 30k Calirfornians trying to find parking in a downtown area where half of the old parking lots are being devoloped into high rises is going to cause mayhem. I knew to be home and out of the throngs way long before gametime but I forgot about the aftergames fireworks. I am paying for that now with at least a dozen kitty razor marks all over me as one of my monsters was sitting in my lap as the barage went off. They are now under the bed, they may come out by Sunday.
Good News - Padres won! Sure they lost their first actual game but it was preseason and everyone knows those don't count
