I've been sick with an infection, so I've been sleeping for 3 days... please, no flowers or cards! 
Anyway, while acting like a hospital patient on the couch, I was watching tv (I HATE TV) and saw a l-o-n-g commercial about Kingdom Holdings, or Company or something. I wasn't paying much attention but they named off Time-Warner and a few other big company names and said they were part of Kingdom Holdings located in Saudi Arabia. Has anyone else seen this commercial or does anyone know anything about this company?

Nope never heard of it, or seen what your saying.. though I did watch a couple 'Kingdom Hospital' the Stephen King show. I think we only get one Canadian channel though.... CBC?

It is owned by the Saud Royal Family. It is a holding company they use to invest all the petro dollars we give them.
edited to add-- I just noticed these commercials too. They have never advertised before that I know of.
I think I saw the commercials on FOX. But here's what to watch -- wait and see if there are anyomore critisisms of Saudi Arabia anymore on FOX or any other network carring the commercials. I'll bet Saudi Arabia isn't mentioned again in a bad light.

No, this was about Saudi Arabia. I know I wasn't seeing things. It made me wonder why the holding company for all these American companies would be in Arabia.

Are they selling something or wanting investors, or is it some kind of propaganda?

I'm not sure either Replay. I know that many retirement savings funds are invested in overseas companies, so maybe this is one of them. Reamond, do you know?

Strangely enough, there are references on the Net that the Prince does/did own at least 3% Aand perhaps as much as 6% of News Corporation (Parent company of Fox News).
I can't find any indication that he sold his shares, but then maybe it didn't make the news.

As far as I know the fund is only open to Saud family members.
The only reason I know for them to advertise is to "give" revenue to networks to influence their editorials about Saudi Arabia. It also helps generate revenue for networks such as FOX that are part of the re-election commitee for George Bush.
It is basically a round about way for the Saudis to use their money to influence our election.
