At the risk of sounding like Linda ( ), I'm shocked no one ccomplained about the eradication of the 18,000 in Miami I'm having enough problems with the mice who I can only assume are trying to escape our recent heat wave - my monster is chasing the fifth in about 4 days as I type. Big No Thanks on snails!!

It is sad, yes. But unfortunately necessary. Alien species have wrought havoc when introduced into new environments like that, whether by accident or onpurpose.Witness kudzu, the cane toad, the rabbit, african honey bees, etc.
