I just got a letter from Florida Power and Light asking if I would pay about $10 more per month for "Sunshine Energy"- solar-powered electricity . Something about this does not seem right. Isn't this supposed to be a more efficient source of energy?

I don't know, I don't live in Fl, nor in a
'sunshine state' I live in WA where its *usually* gray skies but I would guess that they are paying the ones that have the huge solar systems on their homes, and have 'extra' power, so the state supposedly buys it back? They do that in NV I believe also, not postive if that what you got though, could be.
