Well, how are you doing today. Fine, I hope! I am thinking that most of the people reading this thread are about the same as they were on Sunday. Except a couple of days older, of course. The reason I\'m starting this thread is to see if anyone is different or was hurt by all the gay marriages that took place in Massachusetts on Monday.

Is your family crumbling? Did your neighborhood go downhill? Did your marriage fall apart? Are your kids "turning gay"?

I think the answers to all of these questions is NO! It is foolish to believe that any of these things would ever happen too.

Any thoughts on this?

Most of the people in my neighbourhood turned gay when they heard that gay marriages became legal in Canada, so I'm sure it won't take long in the U.S.

I had a gay person smile at me today and it turned me gay. Turned my whole day around! It's surprising what a smile from a gay person can do to lift your spirits. I was so down in the dumps until I got that gay smile. Seriously though, Massachusetts did the right thing - they are honoring love!

Everything is normal in my hood. One neighbor is getting a divorce and the others are just too busy to bother. Too bad the "straight people" are not as happy as the "gay people". Hahaha!

I was at the drive in lanes at the credit union today, and a young guy pulled up in the next lane. He was driving a nice looking red Mustang. He was staring at every guy there. When he pulled away, I checked to see if his plate was from Massachusetts. I wonder if the gays from Massachusetts will start traveling west, sort of like the American pioneers.

You know the old saying, go west gay man!

I read somewhere that two brothers married each other in Massachusetts. They were deeply in love. Isn't that nice?

kraft,

I went to the flag store and got my rainbow flag. [laugh]

EAG,

Did you really hear that? If so, when and where. Wow! It is true then. There is going to be all kind of strange arrangements. Maybe if they get a divorce, one of them will marry the mother next.

Well thanks for stealing my idea. I was going to put that there, but I didn't.

EBG: That's terrible, should they choose to have children they will be inbred.

The brain damage might turn their offspring into right wing bigots.

Yes, it will cause inbreeding and probably new races of human/animal mixed breeds. I heard foil beanies add some protection from the gay rays, but until a multi-million dollar government study is done on them, nobody's safe.

Well, whatever they have, let's hope it's not a bunch of clouded thinkers.

Right. Or people that care more about what's going on in their neighbour's yard than their own.

Actually, thats not too far from the truth. It was on the radio, sorry no link.. but 2 guys, who were best friends and NOT gay, got 'married' with this new law. They did it because the one guy had really really good insurance, and the other guy worked at a job that didn't have insurance, or crappy ins, can't remember. So they got married, and were not gay.

So, it makes you wonder what this will open up, if 2 guys or 2 gals, that are not gay, doing it for other reasons, like the ins. one.......

Is that any different than many traditional marriages in which love is not a factor. For instance marrying for money or in order to climb socially?

dave, I don't know. Could be, and if they stay 'married', meaning they never want to have a 'straight' marriage, then one or both could collect the others SS or pensions, or life insurance. Don't know.

They could be doing it for a short time, until one gets better insurance, then they would have to divorce I guess Might have a few marriages like this, then divorces too

Won't know the whole 'impact' for awhile

Helen, I got mine from Snowy and she said it was guaranteed for life. (I hope she wasn't hammered when she told me that.) It's a bit outdated because the propeller on top isn't laser powered but so far it's worked perfectly. (I haven't turned gay yet, but I noticed Mr. Kraft has been watching more and more of those decorating shows lately.) I think Kiara told me she had the latest Canadian model with the added moose antlers. Bet she looks stunning!

Seriously, I was making out of list of things that I needed to get at Walmart and I put down aluminum foil. Now I will have to get 2 rolls.

I think the world is about to come to an end now that we had a full week of legalized gay marriages in Massachusetts.

Since gay marriages have been legalized a war broke out in Iraq. Oh wait that was been planned by Bush before he took office - and had nothing to do with terrorism or 9/11.

I might be wrong, but I am thinking that Massachusetts may become a gay vacation destination. In the fact that gays, like any other group like to support what or whom supports them, they in Massachusetts may realize loads of money in new found vacation dollars. What a boost for their economy!

Other than that, I haven't been negatively effected by the gay marriage victory there.
