Do you live in fear of other people? Do you fear what they stand for, or what they are trying to accomplish for themselves? So do you?

Yes. I fear that the religious right will take over the government and try to make their beliefs the law of the land...

I only fear ignorance. The religious right has already taken over the government and tried to make their beliefs the law of the land. So far, they have failed miserably and will be on their way out in November if the people of America see the light and refuse to be duped. I sincerely believe that the majority of Americans will not be hoodwinked by this duplicitous and dangerous administration.

i fear some of us are possessed ,not by aliens from outerspace, but spirits of deceased persons,or worse disincarnate spirit, those who were never human.
remember back in old days,in bible and any cultural myth, any specie can talk, there is the talking frog, snake, badger, fox, camel, dragon, cat, dog, lizard, otter(river and sea),seal, lion, tiger, rhino, hippo, apes, chicken, rooster and more!!
At least the snake not only can talk, does a good job slithing on its belly, but offer a red delicious apple to Eve.What do the other species do,an eyesore and a big pain in you know where??

I'm with prof. It should be I get angry at. . .

the ignorant and the ill-informed. I get angry at those that walk around with blinders on because they are sure to side-swipe me. I get angry with those that don't think others should be happy because they dislike their lifestyle. I get angry at people who think their God is the right God and the only God there is to believe in - maybe there is no God, ever think about that? I get angry because when I do express my opinions I am called anti-American, un-American and a socialist even though one of our rights as Americans is to be able to voice our opinions.

I get angry at all the evil in the world including the evil here at home.

Sure that's one of our rights....who said it wasn't? The problem, as I see it, is for some reason the lefties here think that freedom of speech ONLY applies to them...and the righties should remain quiet when they disagree with a statement.

Doesn't work that way....this isn't France yet.

Hi kraft,

I read Cheryl's post and could have not said it any better myself.

There is so much fear in this world base on ignorance. Ignorance breeds fear, and fear breeds more fear.

I also agree with Helen, that the religious right is in bed (I wonder what they're doing) with Bush. I really do think that Bush couldn't care less about them, but coddles them for the voting block.

I also fear that Linda will buy Vendio and kick me off. What the hell would I do with all my extra time???

I fear people who do not speak the truths, who hide behind a shield and only come out when protection is near.

I think if you read between the words a certain question is being asked and no I don't fear those people, but if they are bullies, thugs and robbers I do.

Life's too short for fear...

Ummm lets see Cheryl... weren't you on here discussing a sex offender living in your neighborhood... does that mean his lifestyle is ok, so that he can have happiness?

Twelve,

A sexual offender is a criminal. He/she acts in a criminal manner. Being a rapist is not a lifestyle. This is another example of how you realize that your comments are loosing their ground and you have to shift gears to another subject in order to have something to input. BTW, here in Michigan we have mandatory registration for sexual offenders and I think it's a good thing.

Bigotry is wrong.

Well, twelve, it's nice to see that some things never change. No where did I say anything regarding child molestors or rapists. I wasn't refering to criminals and if you read that in my post, maybe you should have spent your vacation reading to strengthen your eyesight and to improve your reading comprehension. There we have it. . .the right reading things that aren't there. . .bending things around to their liking. . .changing the subject.

Well lets see yeager and cheryl... those people have done their time in jail/prison and are now at halfway houses to get readjusted to life in society... seems quite two-faced to side to me.

I get angry with those that don't think others should be happy because they dislike their lifestyle

No I read it quite nicely... no problem there...

It seems to me you have issues with their former lifestyles and are not allowing them the chance they deserve after paying their debt to society.

Or are you and yeager bigots against former inmates?

12: Ummm lets see Cheryl... weren't you on here discussing a sex offender living in your neighborhood... does that mean his lifestyle is ok, so that he can have happiness?

I have a registered sex offender living in my sub-division. My neighbors brought it to my attention because they were concerned for their kids. I am not going to live in fear because I do not know what this guy was convicted of or when it happened. As far as I know his crime could have been commited when he was 17 and was "in love with" a 16 year old. How often do kids commit crimes and then have to pay for their actions the rest of their lives? I am not trying to justify this guy's actions, but you simply do not know why a person is labeled a sex ofender.

And yes this guy should be able to have happiness and I think he is leading a happy life. He is married with kids and a dog. I am sure he lives with the guilt of what he did but he still can be happy.

Change is constant. The history of mankind is about change. One set of beliefs is pushed aside by a new set. The old order is swept away by the new. If people become attached to the old order, they see their best interest in defending it. They become the losers. They become the old order and in turn are vulnerable. People who belong to the new order are winners.
