Looks like the manufacturers of the medications she used are at fault--both put zinc chloride insteadof zince oxide into their ointments.
HOWEVER--this woman is also an idiot. She is a nurse, for pity's sake! When the first ointment had an adverse reaction, why in the world did she keep applying it?!? Then she goes out & gets another ointment and when THAT one also has adverse affects she keeps using it as well!! To top it all off, instead of going to an emergency room or rushing to her regular doctor for help, she sits on her can waiting for her appointment at the dermatologist's to roll around. "By the time she got to the dermatologist, her nose had been burned away. Cartilage protruded from the place that had been her nose. By that time, Gilliatt says she knew she was in serious trouble." DUH!!!

That IS awful, but your right, she's a nurse, #1, and then it didn't even say IF she even had skin cancer, 'while waiting for her dermotologist appointment' she gets this crap off the internet, not 1 thing, but TWO. Well, awful thing to happen, but after it literally burnt her nose right off, I guess the skin cancer (if she had it) is gone..... but damn! what a way for treatment!
