I was surfing the net and I stumbled onto this site.

Warning, there is some sick stuff going on here.

I sure wish and hope that this is really a joke.

Yes, it's a joke. Been around for a couple of years now.

speaking of cats....animals....

read that ol' Gov. Arnold had to reverse himself on putting cats/dogs to sleep because of the huge outcry of those who objected to him trying to save the state some money. He wanted to have the unadopted animals put down sooner than they are now.

Something that IS true Yellowstone, is China makes these little stuffed animals that look like real dogs and cats. They say the fur is rabbit fur that they've dyed to make it look real, but it actually comes from cats. I saw a documentary on it and it made me sick. They said there's no way China would go to all the trouble of dying rabbit fur to make these trinkets. There are even some of these stuffed animals on eBay and they're NOT made from rabbit fur.

Bunni
Thanks for telling me it's a joke. I thought I was going to have nightmares all weekend.

The Chinese may be raising the cats and dogs for food, which is possible. If they are then using the byproduct of the furs and using them to make stuffed animals then I don't really see anything wrong with that. Afterall wouldn't they just be doing the same thing with rabbits?? I think why it may seem to some of us that using real cat or dog fur is kinda disgusting is because we keep cats and dogs as pets, not as food.

It is a cultural thing. I once saw a hat in Eastern Europe made from cat fur. Is it any worse than mink or chinchilla?

I wouldn't wear it but that decison is based on the belief system of the culture I was raised in.

I'm not a vegitarian so I guess it's OK to harvest some animals and not others.

(Please don't read this post to my dog)

The cat and dog thing bothers most of us, yes. So we must understand just a little the feelings another religion has about beef. They care as much about the cattle as we care about cats and dogs.

Reminds me of a Freak Brothers cartoon.

"You aren't gonna do nothing strange with this turkey are ya, sonny?"

"Nah, I'm just going to kill it and eat it."
