Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that our government can track a cow born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington. And they tracked her calves to their stalls.
But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give them all a cow. :0)
Yellowstone.. sorry for not replying to your offer to enlighten me on the placement of serial numbers on condoms.....I'm still chewing on that one..LOL Maggie

Your not chewing on a condom are you, Ewwwww that's sick.
As far as the 11 million illegals goes, I beleive that the only way to locate them would have something to do with racial profiling. They would have to stop and ask everyone that looks Arab, Hispanic, etc. for their proof of citizeship papers. Then imagine the uproar that would cause.
The only other ways to catch them, I suppose is to require them/us to prove citizenship when applying for a job, applying for medical treatment, applying for college and any number of other things that we/they do normally to live here.

Somewhere in my reading today...there was mention of a bill being introduced into the House...that would, if passed, be a requirement to prove US citizenship before being allowed to vote in this election. Kind of bypassing using one's drivers license, for the states that require them line mine.... since some have obtained those with false IDs.
But even if identified as illegal...they most likely wouldn't be handed over to the immigration office for deportation. I've read of too many times when they're called to pick them up and the people holding them are told to just release them.
I have read that Arizona is going to have unmanned aircraft that will start patrolling their boarder. Now we just need to get the other boarder states to do the same.
How do they propose we prove we are US citizens? I know that with the I-9 at work, we have to show two forms of specific ID, but any of those could also be faked. I think proving it is going to be rather difficult if not darn near impossible. Not that I don't think it's a good idea. For all my liberalism, I am fed up with the illegal situation in this country.

It is not up to the states Linda, it is up t the INS who is most likely using the plane in Arizona this summer because of the inordinate number of deaths they deal with every year from people crossing in their extreme desert heat.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
