It might just be me, but it seems there are some regular posters missing from the threads. After twelve's short demise, I'm curious to see if anyone else has met his fate. I don't know who is being a cry baby to Vendio, but whoever it is - you need help!

So, Cheryl checking in.

You might also add to that, that it seems as though there are some here that are posting under their alternate user id's.

Cheryl, I think you're just gorgeous! The last time we had a Roll Call, I couldn't get over how good looking everyone was.

The man leading the camel was so good looking, I thought I'd fall off the darn thing! An added plus is that he's Australian.

Yes, I am a grandmother. My granddaughter is now almost 6 (three weeks away). That's my great neice. My youngest is 20, oldest is 24!

There are a couple of posters on the eBay board I haven't seen. One I know was suspended because someone turned them into Vendio re: the Regan post. I promised not to say who it is, though. Sorry.

It's getting out of hand, IMO. Must be a newbie to the boards. Who else would turn people in? I mean, we've had worse discussions than Regan before. Lord knows we've all been guilty of being a little feisty!

And besides the MIA's, I believe there are more re-created ID's. It's really hilarious!
And by the way, some of those are much appreciated.

What fun!

That's so unfortunate, Cheryl. Anyone who tries to get someone suspended because of their comments here is interferring with freedom of speech. Under this administration that's especially scary.

I don't have any idea who it is but I just want to let them know that some of the best posters here have been suspended. One, in particular that I know, was suspended for life. She was one of the most intelligent posters that I have known. Another one from England, also a political poster was suspended.

I was suspended back when moderators were working here because I used a hyphenated word to avoid the censor...not against anyone but just in expressing how I felt about a situation. I wasn't going to return but one of my friends encouraged me to come back.

I don't change my words to accomodate rats who squeal. I've been told that disappearing in the night from the bunch of fanatics now found here will be a healthy thing.

You look so great Cheryl, and so young! Well you are young!

Mine are close to the same age as yours, 22 and 23. The younger one is pregnant. argh....

Wow, no I did not know someone was suspended. If there was a list of posters, I might be able to guess. And no, I don't believe anyone should go 'whining' to Vendio, and get anyone suspended.

My only ID and--

Yes, and it happened under the CLINTON administration too.

Matter of fact....his first term in office...that's how long ago that's been.

Cheryl, why has no one mentioned Kiara? See, now if I mention it, I will likely be perceived and labeled a stalker. Just like fenix was I suppose, for saying where's twelve, or max or neglus for saying where's fluffy? So I'll be sure not to mention that missing name....

my opinion: if anybody's stupid enough to post here, they're stupid enough to take it back. Including myself. For the record, I have never complained to Vendio about anybody. But it is THEIR site and they decide what THEY want to.

Wrong, Linda.

Her suspension was not related to Clinton or to politics.

Good God, can you get OVER your neurotic obsession with Clinton? How on earth would Clinton be related to a posters suspension on AW???

The year was 2001.

Yes, where is Kiara? That's no who I was speaking about, but it would be nice to know where she is. If you are reading this Kiara, email one of us and let us know how you are and what's up.

Linda:

This thread has nothing to do with Clinton or Bush. It has to do with squelching free speech and who is MIA from the boards.

Not addressed to Linda (just had to make it clear lest I be accused):

If someone offends me, I simply let them know. I don't go running to Vendio. That's childish and immature.

48 this year - and darned proud of it! Some days I feel young, others I feel my age or older. I have my granddaughter for the day tomorrow because I'm on vacation for the week. Good thing, too. I got a message on my voice mail at work from a company that wants to steal me away. I'm going to interview. Couldn't hurt. Parti-time I'd be making twice what I am making now full-time. I can live with that!

Anyway, granddchildren are the best! You can have them when you want them and give them back when you are through!

Oh I see, cheryl and helen....once again the double standard kicks in, huh?

If you two would just hold yourselves to the same standards you try to FORCE on others....it might make you look less foolish when you open your mouths.

I was responding to helen's statement above.

Okay, Linda. I was mistaken. However, Helen mentioned freedom of speech, which is what this thread is ultimately about and didn't really stray from the topic at all. I will, however, in your honor give myself one wack with a wet noodle. Ouch!

I'm around - more lurking than posting. It's been an incredibly busy summer, trying to juggle work around the 7-year-old love of my life , and help out with some personal family issues.

And for the record: this is the only posting ID I have; I think my previously-posted outrage at the censorship here pretty much speaks for itself. Tattling needs to be left at the playground. Period.

I agree that whoever it is most definitely needs help.

Hi All,
I am pretty new to the board...but have been enjoying everyone's posts..well almost everyone that is.. LOL..
Thanks for the "Heads Up". I didn't know the boards were monitored, and that you could be suspended for voicing your opinions.
I had better check the rules..
I have been a little outspoken myself.. guess I will have to be more careful in the future. Maggie
