In the Petition to save Marriage "someone " says that the NAACP is an extremist group.

It is the oldest civil rights group in the nation.

Do you believe this venerable group is comprised of extremists?

I guess we have coined a new phrase: "extremist group". Just because a group demonstrates for what they believe in or defends the less fortunate doesn't make it an extremist group.

The 9/11 hijackers were an extremist group because they hijacked and killed innocent people in the process.

It's easy: any group that neo-cons don't agree with are "extremists." Get with the program!

"An Extremist" is anyone who doesn't agree with the Bush administration. It's the new political correctness, and it's as ugly as the old version.

The NAACP issues a criticism of Bush, that makes them extremists. Bush refuses to speak to them, that's perfectly OK. Bye Bye any blacks who may have been on the fence about their vote...

Can't blame the President though, he was probably afraid he'd have to answer questions.

Made me laugh...but not true.

The current LEADERS of the NAACP ARE extremists. One only needs to read their statements about this President to CLEARLY see why he didn't wish to address them. They've gone off the deep end with their outrageous statements about him.

There are other black groups and other black leaders that aren't so extreme - with whom this President IS willing to have rational discussion and point out what he has done to help their community.

"They've gone off the deep end with their outrageous statements about him."

Hasn't just about everyone?

To hear any Democrat speak, Bush is a complete incompetant idiot. Yet he still managed to fool the UN, Congress, the American People, our world allies and everyone else.

How can they have it both ways?

You're kidding, right? These are the same people that have a feminist agenda, yet excuse a recent President for sexual dalliances in the oral office with a subordinate.

I excuse Monica just as I excuse Clinton - so, I have no bias and believe in social equality of the sexes.

It amazes me that people who see this dalliance as an earth shattering event, fail to see how Bush is raping the American public.

Of course the "just a bj" smokescreen excuse for the chief executive's legal oath "I did not......". More like "just a crime".

And the NAACP IS extremist because the leadership pursues such an agenda even though its members' views are sometimes as much as 85% AGAINST it.

duhsquirrel, When you copy only the subject clause of my sentence and use it as if it is a complete sentence you skew my meaning and make it appear that I am using poor grammar.
Complete sentences would clarify your comments as well. For example, your first sentence, "Of course the "just a bj" smokescreen excuse for the chief executive's legal oath "I did not......". More like "just a crime" is not a sentence or even a comprehensible thought.
In the future, I would appreciate it if you would at least copy my entire sentence so that I don't appear to be as abstruse as you do.

You state,
"And the NAACP IS extremist because the leadership pursues such an agenda even though its members' views are sometimes as much as 85% AGAINST it".
Did you make that up or can you provide a link to verify your information?

Helen
