I guess free speech is dead in this chat room. You must agree with everyone (or one in particular?) or they mess with your auctions? How low can a person sink?

I disagree with crowfarm's opinions probably more than just about any other poster here. But I'm with him on this one.
Anyone threatening another poster's auctions should be removed and banned immediately and permanently. That is the ONE biggest offence that should not be tolerated on Vendio.
If it's true, that is. But I see no reason to doubt crow on this one.

This was over an argument about appearance!
I do realize that I can get down and dirty with the best of you BUT my previous posts in that thread were pretty mild compared to a lot of posts. Neroter's response was totally uncalled for.
There are people posting in here like Linda, twelve, replay, bear and others who I don't agree with and we have had plenty of great and nasty fights BUT I have every confidence that none of THEM would do such a thing. What is neroter's problem ?

Twelve, I did not threaten ITS auctions. I told her/it to stay away from mine! And if she felt the need to take anything from this board and interfer with my auctions; I would report her and thus get her kicked off ebay for doing so.
You know, people use the same words over and over and their real attitude comes through. I had a reason for saying what I did here. If anybody on these boards is low, it is NOT ME - because I dont bother anybody's auctions! Nor do i follow people around on the internet to watch what they are doing. I pretty much go about my business with no desire to meddle with anybody elses business. -Which is more than I can say for alot of posters on this board. So noble of you, of all people, to say what goes on this board should stay on this board.

I agree with the others that this was uncalled for and it should not go unpunished. I read it in the other thread and Nero clearly lost it for no reason.
I haven't seen someone do a self meltdown this bad since NJCYN's throbbing gristle post.

I didn't see any mention in that thread that crowfarm was going to go anywhere near your auctions. And, nowhere in that thread did you tell crowfarm to stay away from yours. What he posted here is what you said.
I've stepped in it a few times on this board and sometimes it's just better to swallow the pill and move on. IMO, you do owe crowfarm an apology for that remark. In all the times I've inserted my foot into my mouth on this board, I have never threatened to have anyone kicked off of anything.

neroter12, where did crowfarm ever threaten your auctions? This isn't the first time that you've insinuated that others here are messing with your auctions and I can't think of anyone that posts on Vendio that would do such a thing.
I've posted here since '98 and there have never been any 'bleeps' or missing words out of my posts unless I goofed up so don't try to backtrack and blame Vendio.

I was brave enough to use my selling ID and you chose the cowards way to win an argument.

Happened to me many times....once helen had a $hit about one post I made because by only using one word [accidently] it changed the meaning of what I was saying. She DEMANDED I edit it.....
Some people are just ripe to take an un-intended typing error and TRY to make a Federal case out of it.
From what I read in that fashion thread I did not see you making a threat of any kind.
Again....consider the source who asks How low can a person sink?....and remember just how low she HAS gone.

If someone told me they were going to get my azz kicked off ebay I'd consider it a threat as there are lots of kooks in this world.
Some have had their auctions messed with so bad that they're gone from ebay so the message could be interpreted as such.
eBay is a livelihood for many here and like twelvepole says, it's crossing a nasty line to threaten someone's business.

What I'm saying Miss-Now-It-All....is that her post CAN be taken either as a threat OR as a warning to not mess with her auctions.
Looking at the integrity between the two posters.....I give neroter the benefit of the doubt that a typing error occurred.

Yes, Linda I intend to. I never threatened anyone, but if anyone from here DID mess with my auctions I would report them to ebay as I would anybody else. I have a very good reason for saying stay away from MY auctions to crowbait, but I am not going to get into it for the sake of these cawking vultures.

Unfortunately, crowfarm they can sink much lower. I've found that in some cases if one lie doesn't work, they simply tell another one. I've had many such insinuations tossed my way with absolutely no verification or justification offered.
I'm sorry that this happened to you and Kiara. You can both take comfort however in the knowledge that nearly every poster on this board - whether they say anything or not knows that you have been unfairly attacked.

How are you today? I missed all the action..darn computer flat lined on me.. but that's a whole different post... love hate relationship with my computer...
I know you are feeling very vulnerable right now, because you feel that your personal business has been threatned... I understand.
We all know the dangers of cyberspace, (there are a lot of kooks out there!) and that is why our identity should always be protected... when it is exposed and threats made.. of course..we feel unsafe.
Having said that... We have all said things on this board that are insulting, confrontational, and sometimes hint on threatening.. we are discussing Politics and Religion.. two subjects that don't always bring out the best in us.
I have never heard Nero threaten anyone before this, so I would like to give her the benefit of a doubt and think that she reached her frustration point and lashed out.. as we all do..but crossed the line... in a moment of unclear thinking.. I don't believe she ever meant to follow through on this.. for she would never post it here for all to read and document... if she really intended on acting on this threat.. no.. just spoken in the heat of the moment.
We sometimes forget that we are adults and the anonymity of our computers give each of us a false sense of security.. and bravado which we sometimes abuse... we say things that we would never say in person to one another.. maybe this incident will be a lesson for us all. MM

I'm fine, got a 4 day weekend of gardening, live auctions, good food, friends, a drop or two of beer and hammock time!
I appreciate what you're saying but neroter didn't have a "moment of unclear thinking"...she's had a lifetime. I have never seen a poster who could twist someone else's words so much either through inability to comprehend writing or sheer nastiness. Anyone who can become that upset over a fashion thread is dangerous to anyone who posts here and sells on ebay.
Maybe someday "in the heat of the moment" she'll mess with my auctions (or someone else's).
She resorted to a threat (blackmail) which she can't change by editing her post.
She has implied that I would mess with her auctions without a shred of evidence that I might...sheer nasty slander.
What's ironic is that she certainly proved my point....a person's beauty (or lack thereof) comes from within. Her "within" has shriveled, turned sour and very ugly.
BUT the sun just peaked out and the hammock is calling my name.....BIG antique auction tomorrow......have a great weekend!

Crow.. I envy you being able to sit outside in the sunshine on your hammock.. It sounds like you are enjoying a Great Summer!
It is 109 with the heat index right now down here and much to hot and humid to enjoy the outdoors at all. Around October it will start to cool down a bit, but until then I'll stay inside with the air conditioning.
Have fun at the auction.. hope you find a bunch of goodies. I have not sold on Ebay for almost 6 months.. just totally lost interest.. and also due to the fact that I can't find anything around these parts to sell....
Anyway.. glad to hear you are fine.. and as feisty as ever!! Maggie
