Are analyses of the events leading to the demise of nearly 3000 people in the WTC on Sept 11 2001, writen by David Ray Griffin in his book The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9/11;
the concoctions of a lunatic, or the revelations of self fulfilling prophesies set forth by megalomaniacs as revealed in the ‘formula’ outlined by the neo-con think tank ‘Project for the New American Century’ when they wrote of "Rebuilding Americas Defenses" & expressed the opinion that the military expansion they desired would be difficult or impossible unless a "new Pearl Harbor occurred".
Do Americans (or the world) need/deserve to know the truth, or for the sake of ‘good’ should the truth be kept on a ‘need to know basis’.
I you don’t know the ‘truth’, then how can you be certain that evil does not reign.

I have to wonder about the reasoning behind some of the cover-ups our government foists off on us. Sometimes I think cover-ups occur for the same reason MADD is attacking social drinking, that's how the movers involved get their bread buttered. I am just pointing out that our government does do cover-ups, austbounty is pointing at subject matter of what it is believed they are covering up. Can you dis-prove it? Is it a matter of interpretation? What is your basis for interpreting it the way you do?
I hold opinions that are much different than austbounty's, but I don't just dismiss this out of hand.

According to Summary of 9/11 Timeline Developed by Paul Thompson these are the historic events which lead to 9/11.
“Sept 11, 2001: Described as a bizarre coincidence, a US intelligence agency was all set for an exercise on Sept 11th at 9 AM in which an aircraft would crash into one of its buildings near Washington, DC. “
According to Mark R. Elsis, a Minute By Minute Timeline On the day of 911
Stating how, although media had reported the event within 2 minutes of 1st crash into WTC, NORAD were not as effective in acting “F-15’s would have had at least 14 minutes and 26 seconds to reach the WTC before American Airlines Flight 11 impacts the north side of the North Tower
And even though many Americans knew they were under attack, by persons with US-Flight training, Bush reported for duty at a kindergarten.

“9:01 a.m.: Bush later makes the following statement. "And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on, and I used to fly myself, and I said, 'There's one terrible pilot.' And I said, 'It must have been a horrible accident.' But I was whisked off from there -- I didn't have much time to think about it." Bush could not have possibly seen the first plane (American Airlines Flight 11) hit the WTC, because the only video showing this was not shown on television till later in the day. So how could he have possibly seen and said this?”
That Bush probably knows better than to read books upside-down in class, and that famous image is likely to be fabricated, is no deffence.
