A friend of mine who lives in Tallahassee called me in 2000 during the election fiasco. He was out in front of the capital and people were arguing with each other over the election. One guy got into it with my friend Rick, who is a Moderate Democrat, but had changed parties that year to vote in the Republican primaries. Anyhow, someone started arguing with him, and he turned to them and told them he was a registered Republican. Then it dawned on him to create a t-shirt that read, "Republicans for the Recount". He said he made a few thousand dollars off of the idea.
