Perhaps we should help out our Homeland Security by proposing tactics that Al Qaeda would use to attack America. Our Homeland Security seems to be doing a fine job of using 2 year old intelligence (an oxymoron if you ask me). Perhaps we should come up with a few things Homeland Security should be prepared for since we know Al Qaeda won't strike the same way twice.

First, I would think that Al Qaeda might start looking to enlist white anti-americans (possibly anti-gay, like Twelvepole) who would participate in their attacks. It would be less obvious than a bunch of Saudi's boarding a plane and sitting seperately, or a boat load of Middle Easterners pulling into harbor. Second, perhaps we should have Federal Marshalls posted in every small town across America. Wouldn't it make sense that Al Qaeda take out a small town just to scare Americans into thinking it could happen to them at any time? Teach them that no one is safe. Al Qaeda could also use eBay to raise funds. They would need to research antiques, but they could possibly make a killing (no pun intended) on some high end antiques. They could import rugs over from Afghanistan and sell those too.

On the eBay tactic: They could all get eBay ID's and mess with every single auction causing financial havoc in the eBay community. Better yet, they could pay for all of those auctions using PayPal and then reverse all the charges once items were mailed out. Thousands of sellers plunged into financial ruin.

Perhaps eBay and Paypal are funneling their money into Al Qaeda. lol. That would explain their extremist tactics against sellers who they happen to make their money off of.

But just recently obtained information....not found two years ago. And the 9-11 attack was being planned approx. two years before it occurred.

since we know Al Qaeda won't strike the same way twice. That's not a given... and they did strike the same buildings twice. No one can say for sure where they'll strike next. No one.

If you were Al Qaeda, what would you do?

All it takes is one suicidal terrorist and a gun to make a devastating terrorist attack. Heck, they don't even need a gun. A car would do just fine. We are absolutely defenseless. Thank God we have a president with the guts to take the fight to the enemy.

Linda- did you read my quote that you decided to copy and paste? I didn't say the same place twice. I said the same way twice. Yes, they attacked the World Trade Center twice. Once with a car bomb and the second with planes. Last I checked, those were two different methods of attack. They also attacked the USS Cole with a boat bomb. Do you see where I'm going here. You want to argue semantics vs. participate in what the thread is about.

I think we can all agree that the element of surprise is generally a tactic used by terrorists.

Once again, Linda the Neo-Con has to jump in to argue. The subject was If you were Al Qaeda, what would you do? Not, let's jump in and start yet another argument because the author is a "ultra-liberal". It is time to get your head out of your neo-con butt and see that some things are not always a partisan issue.

As for Ebayauctionguy, he is nothing more than a hit and run poster. When he decides he can actually participate with real intellictual insight instead of things like, "let's bomb the hell out of this guy or those people," will I even bother to take him seriously.

One thing they aren't going to do, is attack when the alert system is elevated. They attack when it's least expected. That makes me wonder if there is an attack, and the alert system isn't elevated, what then? More colours? A different system? This is crazy.

EAG,

You aren't very neighbourly for talking to Kraft like that.

Or, would it be that you simply don't know alot about other cultures than your own. I know that in Canada her spelling is correct. They take their spelling from the proper English spelling. Not the American variation. Others that would spell that way are those from Great Britain, Australia, South Africa, and any other country that has strong British roots.

BTW, I am American.

Those on the right may well say that, ‘the fight has gone to the enemy’, or ‘our leader has stepped up defences’;
but is there any doubt in their minds that they are at a heightened level of risk than compared to that of the 90’s.

Risk is up,
Anti-Americanism is up (not to mention the other so called willing).
Oil is up,
And some of those joys in life; travel is down, moral (inc. military) is down, medical care and education are down.

The comfort of those in Iraq is not a priority for AlQaida , just as it isn’t for us (is it for you 12?).

But any how, from their view, I’d guess they are do’in just fine, lost some soldiers and Lieutenants, but their ranks are probably being replenished fast and morality high,

If I were with AlQaida, I reckon I’d continue along the same path, probably go more high tech in communication,
source some antiquated Russian weapons technology;
Possibly set up a wing to seek some more neo-con funding, under the guise of being anti OBL,
And leave the divisiveness and scaremonger up to the arms manufacturers and those few in the west who have much $ to gain from war. That should help to create more enemies for their enemy.

If I were Al Qaeda, what would I do?
I’d probably say ‘business is good and growing, thanks'’.

"If I were Al Qaeda, what would I do?

And then, if you could, you would vote for Bush assuring your organization, Al Qaeda, of another prosperous four years and the continuing demise of the United States.

okay, so she uses the word colours. But why does she use the so crassly american low-ball word such as retard? I hate hearing americans say it never mind canadians. and I thought Canadians were typically more reserved than americans? My mother said so, because she LOVVVVED Peter Jennings.

As I said, EbayAuctionGuy is a hit and run poster. He comes into a thread, hits us with some unintelligent comment and then runs. He is never there to back up his feeble minded claims, when you put him on the spot he is like a deer in headlights, or perhaps a better analogy... George W. Bush after being told we were under attack.

Seriously, EbayAuctionGuy is nothing more than a simple minded, ignorant, neo-con nut case. Actually, I am being nice by calling him a neo-con. He isn't intelligent enough to be a neo-con. Any high school educated American should know that American English isn't Proper English. Proper English is spoken in England, Canada, South Africa, Australia, etc.

Of course, I don't expect to hear EAG defending his comments anytime soon. It has been over a month, and I haven't heard any accomplishments that Dick Cheney has done since becoming Vice President. You see... EAG seems to think that Dick Cheney is the greatest Vice President in the history of American politics. His only reply was that Dick Cheney would kick the terrorists butts. Ironically, so would any President or Vice President in the history of American politics. Hell, Dennis Kucinich would kick terrorist butts better than Bush and Cheney has done. At least he would have gone after the real threat... Al Qaeda.

EAG is a simple human being with simple intellect. There is nothing wrong with that. It is ok to be simple minded (aka ignorant), but when you jump into a debate, you should be prepared to back yourself up with some facts other than "so and so will kick terrorist butt". Those are not facts. When you jump in to correct someone's English, you should also make sure that you are right in your correction. My point, if you are reading this EAG is that you really need to hit the books if you want to be able to be taken seriously. I'm not picking on you. I would rather be able to debate you on some level. Instead, you hit and run and make yourself out to be a bumbling idiot, similar to the current Commander in Chief (this is a disclaimer: by no means EAG do you have the level of dishonesty that the current CIC has to become the President of the United States).

Now I know many of you may think I am being harsh, but lets consider what EAG has provided us besides a good chuckle every now and then. He is to the Conservatives what an uneducated smelly hippie stoner with nappy dreadlocks living in a tree is to the Liberals. Not a very good representation that can be taken seriously. I love many of my friends who have chosen to live in trees to stop logging in Old Growth Forests, but I wouldn't want them debating my views for me.

Nero, where have I used the word retard? If you mean the banter type words Twelve and I throw at one another, you could be right, but we're only goofing off with each other. Is that what you mean?

She hasn't answered, Kraft, because you never have used that word outside of reiterating that particular sentence.

Thanks Bunni. ( ) I guess I just don't understand the point. Let's say I did call someone a retard - how does that relate to how I spell colour?

P.S. Do you ever read certain posts and think you woke up in the wrong dimension?

rusty...I think it is YOU who has a reading problem. My post was quite clear and easy to understand.

you said: "since we know Al Qaeda won't strike the same way twice." I answered: "That's not a given."

then I added... and they did strike the same buildings twice.

I didn't say YOU said that....I said that.

and I added: "No one can say for sure where they'll strike next. No one."

then you go into your long rant about what you didn't say.

get a grip.

EAG- I really hope you put me on ignore. That way we don't have to waste our eyes on your ignorant rants and poor use of the English language (It is Prozac in case you need a hint) that you some how think you are an expert in when you correct people who obviously know more about proper English than you do.

I'm serious EAG. You really need to take some time off to get your GED and learn how to use factual information rather than rant about kicking people's a$$es. There is more to life than blowing people up, unless you live in a fantasy world of Rambo and Apocolypse Now. I bet you wear army fatigues and shop at your local army surplus store. It's ok to admit it.
