Today's ABC News radio broadcast covered the presidential campaign. First they played an unflattering soundbite of a Bush speech with a dead quiet audience. Then they play kerry's soundbite with a wild audience applause and it sounded like a kerry campaign commercial. Does ABC News think we are too stupid to not notice the liberal bias?

I notice that he didn't mention Fox being conservative biased. Shhh, maybe he doesn't want anyone to know.

Perhaps it is simply because the Democrats are acting like a real party, while the Republicans at Bush's event are told to be quiet so that it doesn't upset the delicate mental state of George Bush. Keep in mind, he has to concentrate on his words a bit more than the average 3rd grader so he doesn't slip up and tell us the truth..."Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we," Bush said. "They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

I agree EAG - and I think many ARE noticing. To me CBS and especially Dan Rather are the most biased. A website [ratherbiased.com] is getting a lot of hits.....points out his own personal bias. And the difference on reports between Reuters when compared to the Assoc. Press is quite noticeable also.

I applaud ABC, CNN and any other news service their "Liberal Bias". Good for them. The right has Rupert Murdoch and the Rev. Moon and their media outlets, what's the problem? Unless of course you suppose that Fox and the Washington Times aren't biased. In which case, you'd be as dumb as those who don't recognize ABC's liberal slant.

I think their liberal slanting bia shows they are not true journalists reporting only the known facts - no opinions....but rather they are only more op-ed speakers for their political views. NOT what news reporting is about at all.
And by reporting only one side of the political information/news...they make their medium a total farce.

Bush addressed an organization (hundreds in the room) of (I think) Journalists of Color in D.C. the other day. Stony faced, and dead silence except for a couple of times he gave platitudes that anyone would have to applaud for. He was working very hard, winking now and then, leaning his arm on the podium, looking down-home. Didn't work.

Journalists of Color??
Typical democratic platform....keep that racial division there...it divides us by race...but the dems just love that because the 'People' of Color incorrectly think the dem party of today is the same dem party of the civil rights era, but it's not. The dems do nothing for the 'people' of color except exploit the differences in races to use for their own political advantage.
I read two black columnists each week/day who support President Bush's re-election - they see the dems as just giving 'lip service' to the black community, while doing absolutely nothing for them. I'm sure there are others that do also.
There are many educated black people who support this President - and they're speaking out now. There are many black religious people that favor President Bush's moral views too....much more than those kerry professes to have...but votes against. They'll make up their own minds who they'll vote for, they don't need journalists making their voting decisions for them.

Linda, will you concede that the same is true of Fox, The Washington Times, NewsMax etc.? Yes, or no?

Despite their "fair and balanced" motto, FoxNews is the most biased news provider in this country. Rupert Murdoch has made it an adjunct of the Republican party.
And not only does it almost entirely spout the Republican POV, the organization tells its reporters and anchors every single day just what they are to "report", what to emphasize, and how to say it. This even extends to its opinion spin-meisters. If you watch Fox News, you will soon notice that every single person on the channel spouts the exact same catch phrases on the day you tune in, because they are all reading from the same script. Ex-Fox reporters and experts tell that they were chastised if they didn't toe the organization line. And they don't hesitate to edit film & sound-bytes in such a way that someone they don't like comes off sounding bad, if not evil.

Fox is unabashedly conservative but fair. All of the other networks have a liberal bias but they pretend to not to which is misleading and dishonest.

Isnt ABC owned by Disney? The company that would not distribute MMoore's film?
I thought the 'wholesome' gig left the left and was strictly up to the right to propagandize?
The only odd thing about Fox is they've produced shows which are not considered PC like the Simpsons, and other -take this lightly - new inventive shows- such as in the reality-show genre. That makes it hard in my eyes to see it as a totally conservative based network.
[That is of course, if, as being surmised here, that even the news departments take their directions from the top.]
