In another thread it was suggested that there is a way to search for older posts and some here know how to do this and some or most do not. I am asking you if you know how to do this and can you share this with us.
It seems there is not a level playing field here if some know how to do this while others do not and those in the know won't share this info with everyone.
Here is that thread;

Thanks in advance.

i vaguely recall there is another site which is related or affiliated or includes some of vendio contents and you go to that site and search vendio topics and find all the threads related to that topic.

Hmmmm....... when did Pirateboy start watching us? Is this known by all and did I miss it? I did a search and can't find any info on that. Or is this when you whine and tattle to Vendio:
"Kiara called me a name........ whaaaaaaa"
Does Pirateboy answer and wipe up your tears? He sounds like a nice guy so inquiring minds want to know.
As for searching old posts I just use the Vendio search and the secret is using certain keywords and it helps if you have a good memory. Otherwise I guess one could save files on their computer. I've never heard of any other site affiliated with Vendio that shares their content. You can also google your vendio ID and find some posts.

With the dropdown list at the top of the page here you can find topics from the last year.
You can also go here to find things from the past, whether it was on Vendio or any other site.

Kiara
All that I am doing is asking Pirateboy about a feature of Vendio. If it exists then great, if it does not exist then so be it.
In the other thread you said this;
There is a way to also find older posts but I'm not sure if I should tell you.
You are obviously refering to some Vendio feature or a special way to search Vendio but you don't want to share.
So how about it Pirateboy is there a way to do this type of a search, is it a feature of Vendio??

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Truly this is the only way I search, just like I shared above.
As for searching old posts I just use the Vendio search and the secret is using certain keywords and it helps if you have a good memory.

This is how I do it, Yellowstone. Others may do it a different way.
Say you discussed beetles eating your plants with a user named Lonestar here about two years ago and you want to find out the info he gave you.
In the search you can key in 'Lonestar beetles' and see what comes up. Or you can put in 'beetles' or 'yellowstone beetles' or any other variation. Sometimes it takes awhile for the pages to be found but most times it works pretty good.
We may not agree on politics but I have no problem sharing with you how I search.

Well thank you Kiara.
It has been suggested several times in other threads that there is another unique way to do this so I am still hoping that Pirateboy will answer and who knows maybe he has another way to do a search that will benifit all who post here.

There is another way to search old Vendio posts. I don't remember what it is, but once when someone gave us all directions, I found it and said to myself, "That sure is not very user-friendly--very counter-intuitive." And promptly forgot how to do that. If you would start a thread with your question in it, someone who knows will pop in.

No. In the thread Yellowstone linked to someone suggested it and was told that wasn't it.
I'd beinterested in seeing the mysterious site in question, though.

Update;
It appears that there ARE other ways of doing searches on Vendio.

I can tell you how to go back further than one year.
First, use the drop down search at the top of the page to go back
one year.
At the bottom of the page click on the last page.
On that page, change the number at the end of the URL to about
1500.
Hit enter and you will see on the next page that you can go back
to 2000 by clicking on the page numbers at the bottom.

-------------
It appears that this is not a new question here on these boards as it has been asked before in the following threads;
http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=50&id=1247&thread=1247
http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=50&id=1367&thread=1366
http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=50&id=1602&thread=1602
http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=50&id=1717&thread=1717
As Roadsmith has said there is a way that someone posted to do this type of a search so it seems that it does exist here.
I did find another way to search by clicking on the Customer Manager link but I haven't had time to play with it and the urls yet to see what I can work out with it.
Eventually we will get to the bottom of this issue/question as I feel that it does exist somewhere here at Vendio.

look above at aintrich's thread. He gives you a url, go to that page and at the bottom on the left there is a box that says search (I think) put in a key word but besure you check the little box below then hit go. Is that the one you want?
I have not tried Helen's way as I can never remember the name of the threads.
I search by keyword.

Libra, pirateboy is somebody named Christian [I think] that works for vendio. Must be a tech person as he is collecting the FB on how users like the new site. Apparantly he is one of the few allowed to post and talk to us in the forums?
I often wondered if they are allowed to post under their own ID's in their own time?

Thanks
The old threads have to be somewhere because I did an internet search and found this one.
Anyone remember these posters.
This was quite a thread 41 pages long.
http://wsacp.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=28&thread=44316&id=53516
If you use the previous thread search at the top left you can keep going back. When I went into the previous threads I also saw where Linda K was around at this same time. She must be an old timer. How you find the rest I don't know but I will search more.

I know about those types of searches and I can find all sorts of threads. The type of search that I am talking about is one that brings up every post that someone made here. There too I can bring up a partial list of posts by any particular user but not all posts. There is a way to do this but I just haven't found it yet.
Oh by the by, it was Dadofstickboy that thought in another thread that Pirateboy would answer this same question and I just went with it for my title.
