This makes two people close to Bush that will not be attending the RNC. I also read Colin Powell will not be at the convention as well. Seems like some Republicans don't feel the need to support their own guy.

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA -- Gov. Jeb Bush said Tuesday that he won't attend next week's Republican National Convention in New York, where his brother will be renominated for the presidency, because of the Hurricane Charley recovery.
"There will be a role later on for me to play" in the presidential race, Bush said. "The recovery phase of this is important to get started and ... being up in New York is inappropriate."
Bush said he had planned to have a limited role anyway, saying he doesn't really like the national political scene.
"I just don't like all that big dog, big foot national stuff," said Bush, who attended the 2000 Republican Convention in Philadelphia.
Lt. Gov. Toni Jennings earlier was named chairwoman of the more-than 200-person Florida delegation. The governor already had turned back any talk of addressing the convention.
Bush also said he would not join his brother in Miami on Friday, when the president makes a campaign stop in the biggest battleground state.

Colin Powell is going to the olympic games and I am sure Jeb Bush wouldn't leave his state because of the horrible hurricane. Stands to reason Jeb Bush has priorities and his priorities are to the State of Florida.

Seems to be a common occurrence with the Bush Family. When there is a criss going on, don't leave Florida. Unlike George, Jeb did not have to wait five to seven minutes before making a decision. Where were George's priorities on 9/11/01? Where they to the Florida school kids?
