I saw an interest TV program on blogs. I wish I would have seen it from the beginning as I don't know much about them. From what I gathered blogs are written by anyone (like you and me) and they are attached to others blogs and that many news outlets get their information from blogs. Also blogs have the news before the media finds out about the news. It was quite interesting as I never understood them.

Libra, they way I understand it, its sort of like an online diary that you open to the internet via some web site.
I am not much interested in it so I havent checked it out either. But there was a poster here who had one and if you do a google search on blogs, I'm sure it will come up with pages to explain what its about.
The only blog I read [which i got to by mistake in searching for something else] was by a woman with ovarian cancer. It WAS like really reading her diary. Very sad and emotionally truth-packed. She posted her up's and downs every day of going through that. Some of the blogs also let you reply to the them. I didnt do that however.

Anyone can put up a blog and there are several online sites that allow you to do it for free.
Some people use them as online diaries, while others use them to focus on an interest of theirs, such as politics.
Many news reporters are becoming bloggers, I think, and there is also the fact that bloggers are now being allowed to cover events such as the party conventions. A person can get the news online incredibly fast this way, not having to wait for it to be printed.
What I find fun & interesting about blogging is that, unless you specify otherwise, everybody & their brother can read and comment on your blog if they wish to.

Right, as discussed above, blogs can be about anything. I'm a quasi professional poker player in my down time and spend a fair amount of time teaching and tutoring others in the game. I have created a blog just for discussion of my poker playing tips and strategies. I don't expect any non-poker playing person to understand much of the content of my particular blog, but here's the link just to see what it looks like for those who aren't familiar with blogs:
I chose to set up my blog on LiveJournal.com because its one of the many free sites out there for setting up blogs. Blogs can be about anything you want or like "Seinfeld," they can be about nothing at all. Just create one and send people the link and let the fun begin!

That's quite interesting. I would think a few people in here would be doing that as they are quite knowledgeable in many subjects. And I mean that honestly. Bunnicula do you blog? I don't and I won't because I do not have the writing sense.
