"It's absolutely essential that eight weeks from today, on Nov. 2, we make the right choice, because if we make the wrong choice then the danger is that we'll get hit again and we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States," Cheney told supporters at a town-hall meeting Tuesday.

I guess if we vote for Bush, we will never be struck by terrorists again. What a bold statement Cheney made. It was under Bush we had the first attack.

Given the recent events around the world, I wouldn't be surprised if we do get hit by terrorists again before the election.

so twelve, how did you interpret this? i mean, it seems as though if you're Dick, and you're running in an election, and you state that there is a right and wrong choice, you would believe you were the "right" choice. i know if i ran in election, i would feel i was the right choice. wouldn't anyone? so, if you take his belief that the Bush/Cheney ticket is the right choice, which i really believe he did mean, then the "wrong choice" would be Kerry/Edwards, correct? We can pretty much assume he wasn't directing this at Nader because the neo-cons support Nader, right? lol. So, if America makes the "Cheney wrong choice" that means we are going to be attacked no matter what. Of course, you could look at this as though Cheney is saying that the Bush/Cheney ticket is the wrong choice, and if America votes for them, we will be attacked again. Which is pretty much what I believe, but I doubt that is what Cheney meant.

kerry and edwards- wrong choice- greater chance of getting attacked again...

That is how I see it...

No promise of no more attacks... but then I wouldn't expect much reading comprehension from the blind hatred libs...

Cheney better hope we do not get attacked again before the elections like what happened in Spain. If we do everyone will see Bush isn't the great protector and the past three years of him claiming "we are safer" will be just another one of his lies and broken promises.

Spend awhile watching Lou Dobbs (who is a Republican) and you will find that national security is a huge joke. Illegals are coming into the country like crazy and most are just released again, no matter who they are or where they come from, and no further checks are ever done on them. It's way worse now than it ever was before 9/11.

The whole fight on terrorism is a huge joke from start to finish with all the blunders that have been made. And with that knowledge you actually think President Bush will be the better leader and keep you safe? WoW!
