We are so Sorry for 9-11
September 11, 2004

By Kamal Nawash

This September 11 marks the third unforgettable anniversary of the worst mass murder in American history.

After September 11, many in the Muslim world chose denial and hallucination rather than face up to the sad fact that Muslims perpetrated the 9-11 terrorist acts and that we have an enormous problem with extremism and support for terrorism. Many Muslims, including religious leaders, and “intellectuals” blamed 9-11 on a Jewish conspiracy and went as far as fabricating a tale that 4000 Jews did not show up for work in the World Trade Center on 9-11. Yet others blamed 9-11 on an American right wing conspiracy or the U.S. Government which allegedly wanted an excuse to invade Iraq and “steal” Iraqi oil.

After numerous admissions of guilt by Bin Laden and numerous corroborating admissions by captured top level Al-Qaida operatives, we wonder, does the Muslim leadership have the dignity and courage to apologize for 9-11? If not 9-11, will we apologize for the murder of school children in Russia? If not Russia, will we apologize for the train bombings in Madrid, Spain? If not Spain, will we apologize for suicide bombings in buses, restaurants and other public places? If not suicide bombings, will we apologize for the barbaric beheadings of human beings? If not beheadings, will we apologize for the rape and murder of thousands of innocent people in Darfour? If not Darfour, will we apologize for the blowing up of two Russian planes by Muslim women? What will we apologize for? What will it take for Muslims to realize that those who commit mass murder in the name of Islam are not just a few fringe elements? What will it take for Muslims to realize that we are facing a crisis that is more deadly than the Aids epidemic? What will it take for Muslims to realize that there is a large evil movement that is turning what was a peaceful religion into a cult?

Will Muslims wake up before it is too late? Or will we continue blaming the Jews and an imaginary Jewish conspiracy? The blaming of all Muslim problems on Jews is a cancer that is destroying Muslim society from within and it must stop.

Muslims must look inward and put a stop to many of our religious leaders who spend most of their sermons teaching hatred, intolerance and violent jihad. We should not be afraid to admit that as Muslims we have a problem with violent extremism. We should not be afraid to admit that so many of our religious leaders belong behind bars and not behind a pulpit. Only moderate Muslims can challenge and defeat extremist Muslims. We can no longer afford to be silent. If we remain silent to the extremism within our community then we should not expect anyone to listen to us when we complain of stereotyping and discrimination by non-Muslims; we should not be surprised when the world treats all of us as terrorists; we should not be surprised when we are profiled at airports. Simply put, not only do Muslims need to join the war against terror, we need to take the lead in this war.

As to apologizing, we will no longer wait for our religious leaders and “intellectuals” to do the right thing. Instead, we will start by apologizing for 9-11. We are so sorry that 3000 people were murdered in our name. We will never forget the sight of people jumping from two of the highest buildings in the world hoping against hope that if they moved their arms fast enough that they may fly and survive a certain death from burning. We are sorry for blaming 9-11 on a Jewish or right wing conspiracy. We are so sorry for the murder of more than three hundred school children and adults in Russia. We are so sorry for the murder of train passengers in Spain. We are so sorry for all the victims of suicide bombings. We are so sorry for the beheadings, abductions, rapes, violent Jihad and all the atrocities committed by Muslims around the world. We are so sorry for a religious education that raised killers rather than train people to do good in the world. We are sorry that we did not take the time to teach our children tolerance and respect for other people. We are so sorry for not rising up against the dictators who have ruled the Muslim world for decades. We are so sorry for allowing corruption to spread so fast and so deep in the Muslim world that many of our youth lost hope. We are so sorry for allowing our religious leaders to relegate women to the status of forth class citizens at best and sub-humans at worse.

We are so sorry.

This really makes up for the run of the mill Muslims dancing in the streets (as seen in media videos) on 911.

This works about as well as someone living a life as a sodomite and planning to ask for forgiveness at the time of death. I can just imagine Jesus' reply, "I forgive you, my son, I agonize over your burning in Hell eternally."

This Muslim may be sorry, but, rest assured, eventually they will all be sorry.

Interesting find, Twelve. Thanks.

I knew, at the time, that only RADICAL "Muslims" were responsible.

I appreciate the apology. It is the first I've heard.

Gee, what a coincidence, I was just forwarded this e-mail.

So Sorry
September 11, 2004

By Johny-Bob Smith

As an American I would like to convey my deepest regret and sincerest apology to the families of the 3000 or so Afghan Prisoners were shipped to Shibarghan in closed containers with 200-300 per container lacking any ventilation to which an American commander gave orders to fire shots into the containers to provide air, although he knew that he would certainly hit some of those inside, and finally resulting in the deaths in transit of 150-160 people per container.

I would also like to apologise for my government’s pivotal involvement in the September 11th 1973 assassination of democraticly ellected Chilean President Salvatore Allende. (among others) which helped to establish a military regime under General Pinochet.
While our one time secretary of state Kissinger was quoted as saying "I don't see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its people."

My nation is by and large made up of good and honest and loving people, but I am very sorry that my nation’s people are so often and easily coerced into looking for a boogie-man or red-under-the-bed.
It is a human trait that people seek to find evil from out than from within, and it is this, which my nation’s great people must overcome to be full and complete and to flourish as true Christians.

I can no longer wait for my leaders to do the right thing, when I know that they are rotten to the core, and for that I am sorry,
But it must start with me.

I ask myself what I can do for my nation.
As a true and loyal American that seeks to broaden my peaceful horizons I can start by saying that I’m sorry.

Hmmmmm.....seems to be ALOT of "actions" were to assist in evacuations of foreign citizens during civil wars. And some hostage rescues. Some items are listed more than once (maybe they classify in two different categories?)

This makes the point, to me, that just because one of 'their' herd apologizes it doesn't mean squat about the thinking of the rest. austbounty's post puts it in perspective.

It amazes me that here we have a good American trying to make peace with his neighbours and all we get it anti-Semitism from you guys.
How deep and ingrained your hatred must be.

Twig125silver is willing to dismiss the whole admission & appology because of some ‘apparent duplication’ and because of the claim that some of the perpetrators’ actions were made with ‘altruistic’ motives.

I don’t know how it could possibly have happened but some of you guys seem to have been deeply indoctrinated into the hatred of all from a ‘particular Semitic’ group.

Here we have seen examples of 1 of many loving people from ‘us and them’ as parklane64 would have it and we only get evil people doing the devils work coming forth and sprouting hatred, and so often casting stones, as though their ‘side’ had committed no sins.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

These are just for you parklane64, christiancoffee, and paws4god should take note too.:
James 2:10
"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
[Rom. 6:11]
"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord."

So just watch those little hateful sins of yours, because you may just not be forgiven.

The only true form of ant-semitic in today's terms is you austbounty, that has been pointed out to you so many times, yet you refuse to see it...

You are the one that has turned something good in a something stupid, you have no basis for that "letter" of yours and yet you ignore the one written by freemuslims.org... had to get your anti-american digs in, but then we all know you're a POS anyway and means nothing.

Where did I say I hate Muslims or Jews? (I looked Semitic up in the dictionary to be certain of the word's meaning before I took offense.)

I said I appreciated the apology and that, at the time of 9/11, I knew it was done by RADICAL Muslims. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Osama a Muslim?)

Also, I made an observation of your "list of the world's grievances", primarily caused by the US. I do not feel ALL of these things should be on this list. (Some, but not ALL.) IMO, some of these things are pure speculation at best.
