just watched on TV about indians raising buffalos in Montana, meat is leaner and heathier.
And the Indians claim they feel better reunited with their buffalos.
But then they will let you hunt and kill a buffalo for 10k??
what do you think of that??
(I wonder how many fathers who would let a man screw their virgin daughter for a sum if that sum is tentatising to them?

Seems silly to me. And pathetic.
If they're being raised for meat, then someone wanting the meat could just go buy it. So the "hunters" just want to be able to say they shot a buffalo & perhaps display a trophy. But what does it say about such a "hunter" that they "hunted" in this manner? Yep, sure took a lot of skill to skill to go after an animal that had been raised by people, fed by people as a food animal--why next the big hunter can go after the elusive short-horned steer...
Barely a step up up from the low-lifes that go to ranches in Texas to "hunt" exotic wildlife that has been garnered from zoos or the exotic pet trade and which is released in such a way that the "hunters" have to be blind and paralytic to miss them.

Sounds like they are taking advantage of silly rich white men. More power to them.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Buffalo are being raised in the farm lands around me...for their beef.
To me, since they're going to be slaughtered anyway...why not let hunters also enjoy their hobby. A dead buffalo is a dead buffalo...whether it's slaughtered the way our cattle are or via this method.

yea,10k,the indians probably have to stage a cowboy and indian chase with cowboy gunning down the buffalo.
But the point is not that the buffalo will be slaughtered anyway, the point is that the indians said how good they feel to have the buffalos ,that they are now united with their spirits.
And then someone shows up with 10k,they would rather have 10k than their spirits.

I think it's just fine, for the indians as well as the shooters. The buffalo was sacred in past times to the plains people, yet they still hunted them. These people are being realistic as far as I'm concerned.
The buffalo is no longer a wild animal. As sad as that fact is, they're livestock, pure and simple. The only way they're ever going to survive is on ranches, and ranch livestock has to be culled one way or the other from time to time. I've been to the buffalo hunt at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It's like shooting cattle, pretty much. Not exactly what you'd call sport. In my opinion, anybody who'd pay that kind of money and fancy themselves a "buffalo hunter" at one of these shoots is a moron, and deserves to be fleeced for all they're worth. Good for the indians
