I do not understand why our elected officials in Washington do not know that war is hell, and we should never go to war unless we are attacked. Our going to war with Iraq had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. George W. Bush is a classic example of arrogance, and arrogance will always cause a person to make mistakes. The Bush administration has made far too many big mistakes that have cost the lives of thousands of people. I have no idea what kind of president John Kerry will make, and I don't think anyone does, but I believe he will be a big improvement over who we have now. The level of hate against the United States is at an all-time high -- that scares me. A legitimate war ends when the loser surrenders unconditionally. That will never happen in Iraq.
This is a pro United States thread, and I approve of it's content.

Nice post but you're fighting an uphill battle against the neo-nazi-cons in here like linda, bear, twelve and fred.
They LOVE slaughter, death, constant war, children suffering,
ruling the world through hate and intimidation.
Of course, they'd wet their pants if it was happening here to THEM but if OTHERS are maimed and killed they don't care.
They love the fact that many generations will have to pay for just this ONE war and they want more! Let's just bulldoze our way around the world and then the terrorism will end! That's their knuckle-dragging philosophy!

As opposed to clinton, who was less concerned with Bin laden & Saddam, that he was with securing his next intern.
Hey, hey Ho, ho Kerry - sign the 1-8-0
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The person who has nothing for which he is willing
to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

You beat me to it Bear... if Clinton would of been looking out for America, instead of playing politics with the UN, we wouldn't of even had a 9/11

Bush knows that catching Osama is a more difficult task than originally thought. But as another poster said, he may just show up about 2 weeks before the election.
