Cuts To: Stills of Kerry, protesters, then Kerry testifying
Cuts to: Fonda at a press conference
Announcer: "Even before Jane Fonda went to Hanoi to meet with the enemy and mock America, John Kerry secretly met with enemy leaders in Paris. Though we were still at war and Americans were being held in North Vietnamese prison camps. Then, he returned and accused American troops of committing war crimes on a daily basis. Eventually Jane Fonda apologized for her activities, but John Kerry refuses to. In a time of war, can America trust a man who betrayed his country?"

Time for me to send another check to the Swifties.

You got that right Bear... I have sent them some money already, but a few more dollars will be in order with this new ad...
Kerry is a traitor to this country and people want to elect him have to wonder the real reason why?

You got that right. Our troops committed heinous crimes against humanity on behalf of our governments failed policies. Kerry owes no apology, you however should kiss his azz!

I'm so glad to see another ad come out. Means their previous ads are working to get more to donate to their group.
I don't know about anyone else...but I sure wouldn't kiss a traitor's ass...even if he is running for president. He should have been tried for treason.

I'm sure all you neo-nazicons send MILLIONS to this sleeze campaign because sleeze is your middle name.
None of you has contributed a cent....who DO you think you're kidding???? You wouldn't give a dime to a child laying in a ditch dying!
lindalowercase says,"I don't know about anyone else...but I sure wouldn't kiss a traitor's ass...even if he is running for president. He should have been tried for treason."
Yes, and your yellow-bellied, drunken sleeze of a president should then be tried for aiding and abetting the enemy for being too cowardly/drunk/coked up to go to Vietnam.
And, linda, you've been sucking up his asp for ...how long...?????
AGAIN, the neo-nazicons can't defend their creep of a president so have to attack a COMBAT VETERAN.
How un-patriotic.....what traitors! And what scum they are!

OMG, the truth! The liberal whiners are going to have to do a lot of name calling, in here, to obfuscate the issue.
posted on September 22, 2004 11:33:10 AM new
The issue is simply that Kerry should be proud of his action in the field and having the courage to come forward and testify as to what was going on.
Swiftboat Vets For Truth is nothing more than baby killers for revision.

linda, I see you're still just as cowardly(probably a drunk, too) like your president .....he was too chicken to fight and you're too chicken to answer my "right on" posts.
bush didn't lay his life on the line either!
Unless you count the dangers of falling off a bar stool.
linda have you fought in combat?
you say,"Figures dave....always the loudest complainers...those who never served their country....put their own life on the line that tend to discount those who did (LIKE lINDA DOES)....and have earned every right to speak their minds. "

Wrong Linda I fought and I'm still fighting the good fight against folks like you and your right wing brothers and sisters, Garbage one and all.
Well Dave the old saying is "It takes one to know one"
Kerry is basing his ability to be president on his service in Vietnam. 4 count them 4 purple hearts and one is objectable. The same with the Silver Star, Questionable. THEN after he gets out he goes behind Americas back and meets secretly with the vietnam communists, the enemy leaders in Paris. Though we were still at war and Americans were being held in North Vietnamese prison camps. Then, he returned and accused American troops of committing war crimes on a daily basis. Very honorable right? Eventually Jane Fonda apologized for her activities, but John Kerry refuses to.
Now if the "Lefties have the answer only that they say he served honorably. How did he serve honorably, please explain it. I have not seen an answer to this question in any thread.

No linda, dave was to busy screwing up his liver and then begging for a new one... waste of hospital time...

Well there you have it. Liberal dave reveals his elitist left anti-American views:
"Our troops committed heinous crimes against humanity on behalf of our governments failed policies."
"Swiftboat Vets For Truth is nothing more than baby killers for revision."
"you and your right wing brothers and sisters, Garbage one and all."
Let me tell you something. The left are the real baby killers. Thanks to liberals, over 20,000,000 babies have been killed since roe vs. wade in the 1970's.

What the hell does that have to do with you? You'd of actually had to have been there dave...

Obviously you dreamed that percentage while enjoying a toke or two.
------
Of the total number of persons who were hepatitis C antibody positive and reported an era of service, 62.7% were noted to be from the Vietnam era. The second most frequent group is listed as post-Vietnam at 18.2%, followed by 4.8% Korean conflict, 4.3% post-Korean conflict, 4.2% from WWII, and 2.7% Persian Gulf era veterans.[1],
VHA Unique Persons positive for Hepatitis C Antibody
Percent by Era of Service
FY 1998-1999
Veterans who served in Vietnam accounted for more than 60 percent of all positive test results. More than half of all liver transplant patients within the VHA system are because of the hepatitis C virus (HCV). Millions of veterans from all wars are infected and most do not know it. They will not get tested because they think they were not exposed to risk factors stated by the VA and CDC. The factors for HCV transmission listed by both are the use of drugs, alcohol and drug paraphernalia.
In reality, the use of drug paraphernalia in Vietnam, accounted for less than 15% of the troops. The Department of Defense appointed several Task Forces to inquire into... the problem... Early reports from one of the Task Forces stated that there was a relatively low rate of drug abuse in the services. In April 1971, Congressman Robert Steele (R-CT) investigated reports of heroin abuse among U.S. servicemen in Vietnam. His fact-finding mission estimated an addiction rate of 10 to 15%. Further studies state 90-95% of addicts smoked heroin and only 5-10% of that group injected. Subsequent research showed that relatively few were either dysfunctional or addicted users after their return to the United States [2]
The VA and CDC fail to mention that there were no universal precautions in place during the Vietnam era. It was common practice for medical personnel to reuse needles and lancets. They did not wear gloves. Veterans had surgery, dental or medial, and vaccinated by pneumatic air guns (jet guns) with contaminated vaccines. Veterans shared toothbrushes, manicure items, razors and rags. All were examined with ear, nose and throat scopes.[3]

Your link is out of date by about 10 years. It does offer some good information however. Among which is the fact that most who are infected are not aware of the the infection as many are afraid to be tested (I was). I carried the virus over 30 years before I showed symptoms.

Fine Dave post a link to prove your point. if you can
Besides my link proves your claim of 30% due to drug useage is incorrect.
