New TV Special Says Kerry Should Have Been Relieved of Duty... Or Court-Martialed
In a new TV special, set to air later this week, John Kerry's fellow Swift Boat veterans have harsh words for the former "war hero." Captain George Elliott says he believes Kerry should have been removed from command, and possibly even thrown out of the Navy. Elliott was commander of Coastal Division 11, where Kerry spent his four short months of active duty in Viet Nam.
Fellow Swift Boat vet Steve Gardner is even tougher – he says Kerry could well have been court-martialed, had the chain of command known then what they know now.
These and other first-person interviews of the men who served with Kerry in Viet Nam are part of a brand-new TV documentary called "Unfit to Lead," which will air in Florida later this week. The special is largely based on the best-selling book, Unfit for Command, and is hosted by the book's author, John O'Neill, who took over Kerry's swift boat in Viet Nam more than 30 years ago.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The person who has nothing for which he is willing
to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

What a flip-flopper this George Elliott must be!! He seems to keep changing his mind regarding Kerry. He recommends Kerry for a medal during the war...then he says that Kerry shouldn't have received awards...then he retracts his statement, saying he was pressured to sign an affadavit saying Kerry shouldn't have received awards & that Kerry did deserve them...and now you say he states that Kerry should have been removed from command...
This guy spins more often then Linda Blair in the Exorcist it seems...

Even before watching this I think many American believe he should have been court-martialed way back then. But I'm glad to see this will be shown. Now we'll wait and see if all kerry's lawyers try and get the FCC to keep it off the air...as they have previously done.

How many times do you libs need to be reminded, that kerry's awards were presented to him based on the reports he himself wrote.
Officers were expected to be honorable & truthful. kerry has proven to be the exception.

I guess neocons just don't want to accept the fact that the Navy itself investigated and announced that proper channels were followed in the awarding of Kerry's medals. And since Elliott himself originall recommended Kerry for a medal, it is untrue that he received them simply because he nominated himself for them. In fact, the silver star can't be awarded without witness testimony.

Hey, bunnicula, I guess you liberal weenies don't want to admit that Jane Fonda Kerry was stripped of his medals when he resigned for the good of the service under dishonorable conditions. That is why his discharge had to be reviewed and his medals re-issued to him.
Let me repeat.....
his discharge had to be reviewed
and......
his medals re-issued to him
because he was a communist sympathizer and gave aid and comfort to the enemy.
Kerry by his own words & actions violated the UCMJ and the U.S. Code while serving as a Navy officer.
Lt. Kerry stands in violation of Article 3, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution.
Lt. Kerry's 1970 meeting with NVA Communists in Paris is in direct violation of the UCMJ's Article 104 part 904, and U.S. Code 18 U.S.C. 953.
That meeting, and Kerry's subsequent support of the communists while leading mass protests against our military in the year that followed,
also place him in direct violation of our Constitution's Article 3, Section 3, which defines treason as "giving aid and comfort" to the enemy in time of warfare.
The Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, Section 3, states, "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President
... having previously taken an oath ... to support the Constitution of the United States, [who has] engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same,
or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."
