I'm thankful for that too. Last night when they announced there already were 6,000 kerry lawyers in Ohio and more were taking the morning planes headed there...I thought...oh boy..here we go again. Another mess we'll have to go through and argue about for another 4 years.
kerry decided the numbers weren't going to work out for him, no matter what....faced those facts...and called for more unity in American.

I dont think Kerry is a loser by any means. His campaign put up a very good fight and it was close to the end; they just couldnt pull in enough votes in the key states they needed. But I am glad its over with.
I think,... most people in the country are afraid of the state of the world right now. There is alot of uncertainty. It seems they took a safe bet with Bush, as its better to know what you already have then something or somebody new in charge.
Cheryl, I dont think youre describing 'apathy' in the other thread: it sounds more like depression. lol! Please, its not THAT dire! (She's leaving the country and everything!! :-0) btw, whenever I hear that word apathy I remember when my friends pushed me into running for class president in high school. I used that word in my 'speech' ha! - and of course, dumb high school kids didnt even know what it meant!! lol!! (yes, I won, but it was a farce -- 70ties scenerio nobody cared about any council in HS :0)

Helen, Bush is already a lame duck president in my eyes. Instead of having only 80 days or so, it will be 4 years plus 80 days.
