Kerry should've won big. He had the liberal media which was always negative on Bush while positive on Kerry. Hollywood, MTV, rock stars, foreign countries, and even Usama Bin Laden himself, all campaigned for Kerry. Anti-Bush movies. Anti-Bush books. Anti-Bush songs. Forged documents. Lies about Bush plans for a draft. Lies about Bush ending Social Security. Billionaire contributors. Second guessing during a tough war. Class warfare. Voter fraud. An army of rabid leftists. Kerry should've won big.
But with millions of people praying for George Bush, Kerry never had a chance.

"But with millions of people praying for George Bush, Kerry never had a chance."
That kind of statement, leading people to believe that God elected Bush -- could lead some to lose their religion, EAG.

The reasons you listed above, EAG, do show many reasons why kerry should have won big.
A couple others are how the much the dems spent pointing out how bad the economy, jobs and the war were going too.
But he survived all that praise and won anyway.

Whether you like it or not helen and whether you agree with it or not....many believe the power of prayer is a very powerful force. And I highly doubt it would turn any religious person away from their belief in the power of prayer.

Congratulations to the Swift Boat Vets for showing the American people the true kerry.

to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

That's right, bear. We probably owe more to them than we realize...for exposing kerry's past pro-communist actions...and the for exposing the skeletons in his closet.

I think the democrats saw through the Michael Moore movie and I for one am glad it came to bite him back. The only thing that movie did was make Michael Moore a millionaire or maybe a billionaire.

This only proves what a strong candidate the Bush really was. With all of that negative arsenal that the dems used, most candidates would have been toast.

I'm absolutely convinced it was a miracle. No politician could get hit with the barrage of attacks that Bush did and still win the election. And win big. Kinda funny how the "massive" pro-Kerry youth vote never showed up.

I doubt very seriously that the Swift Boat Pets turned more than a handful of votes. Very few people give much of a crap about what happened 35 years ago. Bush was elected by a very sharp upturn in the votes of the christian right. He was smart to pretend to have " christian values". It sucked them right in.

"very sharp upturn in the votes of the christian right"
BS.
Youth voted in record numbers and more of them voted for Bush than before.
Latins voted in record numbers and more of them voted for Bush than before.
Blacks voted in record numbers and more of them voted for Bush than before.
Women voted in record numbers and more of them voted for Bush than before.

profe, while were all giving opinions, I have to say I dont think the christian right pulled that much for Bush. It was a mainstream pull and I think many in this country who arent necessarily christian right feel this country's boundaries are spiraling out of control. and I mean that in every sense: figuratively, morally, physically.....
One thing that strikes me as unconsidered to kerry demise is edwards. I strongly feel had he picked Gephart as a running mate, he could have pulled in the midwest. People in this country do not trust lawyers very much, especially in mainland america. Plus I felt Gephart was as sincere a politican as they get. (Edwards is wayyy too openly ambitious for himself -- at least that is how it appears to me.)

Nero, can you explain to me how these boundaries are spiraling out of control? In what ways, in your opinion?
