No extra family this year Just the girls and their mom (she who formerly had to be obeyed and whose title need no longer be capitalized).
They claim they're all going to midnight mass tonight along with SWMBO and the boy, but it's an hour and fifteen minute drive to get there, so I'll believe it when I see their tail lights headed up the road. As an apostate, my presence is not required! It'll be just me and the animals. In the words of Bob Crachit, "I am a happy man".

Had to drop by with Happy Christmas wishes for all in the RT.
Libra, when my grandson graduated from kindergarden he signed a song, and DIL taught a few of the other kids to sign along with him. There wasn't a dry eye in the school. It will be special for you I guarantee it.

This will be the first Christmas in years I have spent with family. I'm sure I'm in for more than a little sensory overload tomorrow but the Prime Rib and Yorkshire Pudding should help make up for it
Merry Christmas to all this year - hope you all have a great day!!

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
