Stop, my doctor had prescribed Nexium. However I had some side effects and stopped taking it after a week. This was about 9 months ago. I watch what I eat and take Pepcid. I would like to get another medication prescribed but I am in the process of looking for a new doctor.

Believe it or not, what works the fastest and longest for me when I get a episode of acid reflux is to drink a teaspoon of white vinegar mixed into a class of water.
I didn't believe it either until I tried it but it works, no kidding.

vinegar raises the acid level in the stomach like cranberry juice and pineapple juice, may be your problem is not enough acid.

I think wine made from grape could help raise stomach acid level too!!
drinking lots of water will flush the gas out of stomach to intestines, you could end up farting ?/
