Subject: Teaching Math
I think this has been around before, but it is funny (also painfully true)
Math
Last week I purchased a burger at Burger King for $1.58. The counter girl took my $2 and I was digging for my change when I pulled 8 cents from my pocket and gave it to her. She stood there, holding the nickel and 3 pennies, while looking at the screen on her register.
I sensed her discomfort and tried to tell her to just give me two quarters, but she hailed the manager for help.
While he tried to explain the transaction to her, she stood there and cried.
Why do I tell you this?

It's not just math. I've told this story before, but it's still true. When I go to Taco Bell, I get the same thing every time: A #4 value meal and two bean burritos. Total: $6.66
EVERY freakin time I order this, the girl at the window calls her manage over to make change for me because that's the "devil's number".
Sometimes other clerks will do the same thing, so it's not just the one girl.
I thought it was hilarious at first, but it's getting really annoying. If you read the RT board, you know I'm reasonably religious myself. But hey, sometimes a number is just a number!!!

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
