They are going to talk about the No smoking rules set up by some corporations. Should be interesting.

Libra, what's interesting to me is that there's all this hoopla about smokers yet they still allow toxic waste to be buried or burned, they haven't cut toxic emissions from big polluting companies (air & water), they haven't cut carbon monoxide emissions enough from vehicles, and on & on. (Not just the U.S. - Canada too.) These toxins pollute your lungs just as much as smoking would so why don't these rule makers impose the same standards on big business?

Driving behind a city bus is another good one! The new ones are okay, but the old ones are killers. Same goes for the old dump trucks still on the road. Try driving behind one of those. Even with your windows closed it seeps in!
I'm getting tired of all the hoopla over smoking. There are worse things going on in the world. The destruction of the environment in my opinion is a much larger issue. These same corporations are destroying it. But, God forbid should someone light up. I think I'll just take up smoking pot.

A fair question. These days its more popular to attack smokers but I agree that there are other health issues that get overlooked because its easier to target the guy with the Marlboro than it is to go after big business.

Target big business? Not on the Chimp's watch for 4 more moron years. The Chimp's Surgeon General targets heavy people not big business.

I agree but this is not government that is attacking smokers it is a business.
Now this same company is going to start targeting overweight employees.
This should be interesting to follow. I wasn't around to hear the news did they say anything interesting? i.e. lower insurance rates? Will the spouse of these employees have to quite smoking also?
Maybe this is the sign of the times. I have never smoked, my parents did but I really don't find smoking offensive only thing I don't like is walking into a home where everyone smokes.
