Mags, I've been soooo busy with stuff that I've hardly had time to smoke pot! I'm always thinking of you though and what you've been through - Bear too. I found the cat picture on the internet and use it as wallpaper. It makes me smile instead of thinking of my loss. (It works!)

Prof, the cat with the blue eyes looks like an old boyfriend of mine - lol! Are they yours?

prof- I think the cat with "smooshed ears" may be a Scottish Fold...

One new breed I would love to have is a "Pixie-bob". It is believed the originals are from a Bobcat mating with a domestic barn cat in Washington. The body, coat and tail resemble a bobcat.

Our neighbors out front have 4, count'em 4, litters of kittens right now. (None of their cats are fixed and I don't believe any have had their shots.) One of the older litters is coming over to visit when I'm in the vegetable garden.

One little tiger female would follow me to the house and somehow manage to sneak in...constantly.

Since we were obviously adopted, now her name is "Precious", unless she's in trouble, then she's "Missy".

Tomorrow she goes to the vet for shots and a check-up. I have Popeye and Pita, and I need to know Precious is healthy for their sakes.

Kraft and Twig...those are two of our "non-working" indoor outdoor cats. Most of the cats around here earn their keep in the pens and the barns, but these two and some others are pets. The green eyed one is a registered Maine Coon tom and the blue eyed boy is a siamese hybrid of some sort who showed up one day and stayed they are both affectionate, overfed, lazy bums who are scared to death of the barn cats.

Krafty, thank you for your kind thoughts. I too have had Big changes in my life recently and I don't post much anymore. Still pampering my old Poka dog, she has cancer but is doing quite well. Life is very short but filled
with adventures and they can't be explored sitting in front of a computer all day.. enjoy every minute that you have. Hugs Maggie

You have animals on your ranch that don't earn their keep, Prof?? YOU?? The inventor of boot camp and tough love? And speaking of lazy, where's Fenix?

Twig, that's the name - Scottish Fold. Aren't they cute? I could ring your neighbour's necks!! How irresponsible having litters like that. Some people just don't get it - yuck!

Mags, it's usually deader than normal in the summer around here because us more intelligent posters have a life. At least if you're bored or a life-hater, you can hang out at the Rev's place and kiss butts for Jesus... actually I might head over there tonite. Don't you fret Maggie - things will get better and we'll be fine. These life experiences are only there to make us better people.

I'm a lover, not a hater! And I post there..

I know....it really bothers me about all those kittens out front. They started with one or two when they moved in. Now, with kittens, they've got at least 35.

I adopted the two I have (strays). I took them and had all tests run, got all the shots, and had them both fixed.

The biggest reason we took Precious in was because they were talking about taking all of the kittens to the SPCA. They're overrun with cats now and would just put them down.

It's true KD, I just counted and there are a total of six cats here who provide us nothing but affection, cuddly purring on frosty nights and exotic feline good looks. Far as I can tell they have never not a one of them killed so much as a tiny bug. Every other of the 350+ beasties on this place contributes to paying for itself with protection, assistance, meat, fiber, offspring or prize money including all those damn dogs out there. I'm gonna have to tighten up the screws around here...gettin' soft in my dotage...
