An ad for John Edwards, today, finally has him saying what I've been shouting for a long time. Why should Congress care about health care reform when they have great health care already?
He's shown in the ad saying that when he's president, he'll give Congress and the entire federal government a chance to give all Americans what THEY already have; if they don't do this, their own health care will be yanked.
I don't think it's possible to do that, but I love that he's waking up the country to the wonderful pensions, benefits, and health care that Congress and the other two branches of govt. get.

I would love that. I had elective surgery in 1997 that I had no idea would make me uninsurable. A nasty employer claimed they had only 20 employees when they really had 60, making me ineligible for the COBRA plan. Bottom result, I pay $500+ per month (single, not household) with a $750/year deductible for major medical, I couldn't be covered at all except for the Oregon Plan. I haven't had any complications from my elective surgery, yet all insurance companies use the same criteria to put you on their black list.
Edwards has the best health care program under consideration. It's so good, in fact that I'm afraid the insurance industry would vanquish him if he won the election.

Yes, the insurance companies determine our health care.
Conservatives scream that universal health care would leave medical decisions in the hands of politicians...not true. It would put decisions back in the hands of DOCTORS, not insurance companies.
Which is why it'll probably never happen.....profit is ALL....the health of Americans ....nothing....

positive thoughts my friends... universal health care is a very good posibility. Just keep pounding away at it and it will happen. The more it stays in the news, the more it is likely to happen... just not on the watch of this Nazi-run whitehouse.
